I've just discovered what the issue is, I think - that's where blog posts or things go. I did put a post for footer CTA but it's ended up in that section which I find rather weird. It's kind of solved that issue but hasn't put the post in the format I thought it would above the footer area. Guess I need to explore more.

I ended up duplicating the page and removed the old one so it's sorted now. Thank you.

Ok, got it sorted now Victor - thanks for pointing me to where I had to go. When I looked further I found I had to create a new custom field for query_args and cat=all at the bottom of the blog page and it's now showing the posts.

Thanks Victor, I hadn't however Appearance > Customize > Homepage Settings means not being able to used a widgetized front page if blogposts are on the home page. We don't want them on the home page. I'll explore further but didn't realise we were going to lost access to blog posts. There is not 'blog' page template as in other themes.

Thanks Victor, all fixed now. The client didn't want the full post showing as it wouldn't show the comment box below so I've now had the code edited so it shows an excerpt like the other posts.

Ok, thanks Anita. It's definitely a widescreen slider he wants - not small or with borders. I'll check the tutorials out. Although, am exploring Infinity Pro at the moment and that has potential - I'm going to see if he'd be happy with the images down the screen with text over them, rather than as a slider at the top of the page.

I do have the Pro Pack which is why I have access to the older ones and the new ones. I tend to look for one that's close to what they client is asking for and sometimes it's an older theme.
