MemberThank you, I will keep investigating this.
What you say makes sense... but I don't believe this is the explanation. I have a great internet connection, always fast, and it happens with me.

MemberThank you very much for your attention.
That's strange. I did not happen to you? It always happens, no matter the browser or the mobile OS the person uses. Now I'm even more intrigued. 🙂
Let's remember one thing: I'm talking about an automatic jump to the top. Not a link I could click to jump to the top.
Best regards.

MemberThank you.
Already did that. Never received a reply.

MemberHello.
Please, Genesis Support, I really need to solve this strange problem. Honestly, after several attempts to solve this, and after asking in many places, I'm about to stop using your theme. Those jumps are SO ANNOYING, and everybody complaints about this.
Sorry.
glauco
MemberOne more thing.
It seems to me that the problem is linked to Genesis or News Pro. The main reason: If I change the theme (as a test only), the problem does not happen. No jumpings. I change back to News Pro and... yes, jumpings are back.
I suspect the problem is caused by the menu. The collapsed menu in the mobile version. The browser jumps to the top to reach the menu.
glauco
MemberSorry, I don't see why a slow page would make the browser jump to the top after the page is fully loaded. I visit many slow pages and this never happens.
I still think there's something in the code.
glauco
MemberI found a solution here:
Now I see a "Before Header" widget.
The problem is, the content does not appear the way I'd like it to. I added a TEST message there. The text appeared right on the top edge of the screen. Then, many pixels below, comes the header. How to get rid of that ugly extra blank space? Any idea?
Thank you!
glauco
MemberI thank you a lot for your special attention!
Have a nice day.
glauco
MemberThank you very much.
I've found the problem:
/* Chrome fix */ body > div { font-size: 1.6rem; }
Chrome, font size. And that's the browser I use (I have a Chromebook).
It was set for 1.6. For Chrome only, I presume. I've changed that to 1.8rem, and now the font IS bigger. But here comes another question: is it safe to change that, considering other browsers like Safari, Firefox, etc.?
glauco
MemberThank you very much. Great article.
Unfortunatelly, I still cannot change font size. Honestly, I don't understand WHY this must be so confusing. It's the first time in my life that I struggle with this -- a simple changing in font size.
In the same place that I try to change font size, I change font face and it works well. So why not font size there too?
It appears that there's something linked to a percentage (something with 62,5%). I don't know how safe it is to change that. Maybe it will be OK in my browser, but I'll be affraid of problems in Firefox, Safari, etc.
Font size. A change. Just that. Hello, StudioPress.
glauco
MemberThank you very much!
glauco
MemberSorry, not useful to me. The sequence here is the same as yours.
When the content ends, we see then the Related Posts (added by a plugin) => a Google AdSense ad (added via widget in the "After Entry" section) => the post info (category and tags of the post) => and only then... the NEXT PAGE LINK. This is terrible. This link should come EXACTLY after the end of the content, BEFORE all the rest.
Thank you.
glauco
MemberOK, I found it via FTP.
I'll try! 🙂
glauco
MemberThank you very much for your attention.
I can't find "post.php". When I go to Edit and select News Pro Theme, the closest to that I can see is "single.php". There, all I see is this:
<?php /** * Genesis Framework. * * WARNING: This file is part of the core Genesis Framework. DO NOT edit this file under any circumstances. * Please do all modifications in the form of a child theme. * * @package Genesis\Templates * @author StudioPress * @license GPL-2.0+ * @link http://my.studiopress.com/themes/genesis/ */ // This file handles single entries, but only exists for the sake of child theme forward compatibility. genesis();
Maybe I should check this via FTP, trying to find that php file.
I'm afraid Google will punish my blog. As I said before, there are loooong posts with lots of photos. I should split them. But it's unacceptable to see the "NEXT PAGE" link BELOW related posts, share buttoms, archived in, tagged with, etc. All my readers would be lost.
Thank you.

MemberProblem solved.
I just repeated all the process and...now it's OK.
glauco
MemberSearching my Style.css, I found no match for "responsive-menu". Nothing related to MENU, only to SLIDER. I don't understand WHY my theme lacks this.
glauco
MemberOK, responsive-menu.js is there.
But I don't have the styles. Please, where could I get this?
This is very strange. I supposed there was a standard for all Genesis and themes installations. My blog should have a responsive menu already.
glauco
MemberThank you, frobn!
I believe I should find a js directory in my theme's folder. There's no such directory there.
Where should I create this directory? => themes => news-pro => js ?
glauco
MemberWhy the standard Genesis responsive menu is not available in my theme?
I have two blogs. The other one is new, so it features the responsive menu. But my blog from early 2014 does not have it, and it was not updated.
glauco
MemberOK, I really have a problem here.
I've tried two responsive menu plugins. My regular menu always appear in my smartphone, even when the responsive menu also appears there.
There's something wrong in my theme. Any ideas, plase?
In fact, I'd like to use Genesis responsive menu, the original one. Not a plugin.
