MemberHi eppiemcm, can you please share what you did to get the full width image on the homepage. I'm trying to do the same with Revolution Pro. Thanks.

MemberThanks for the insightful response Anita.
I usually just update the core Genesis Framework for security and WordPress compatibility. I was under the impression that child themes would not have to be updated as frequently but I might be wrong.
Any updates would be done by overwriting the previous child theme meaning any customization would be lost and have to be done again. This would become a hassle if the child theme has to be updated after every new release.

MemberThanks for the quick response Victor.
I'm not intending to create a multi-lingual website or theme. I would therefore assume from your answer that the language file or folder is not needed for my purpose. Thanks again for your wisdom 🙂

MemberThanks for the response Victor.
I know how to identify and edit the corresponding media queries. However, I don't know the CSS code to enable the image to become full-width, and above the excerpt, once the screen size reduces to say @ max-width: 768px.
Currently the excerpt text just wraps around the image when reducing screen size.

MemberThanks for the detailed explanation Victor.
Geek Dom
MemberThanks Victor, I already tried that 🙂
Changing it to '0' made it bigger. However, setting the size to '1' made it disappear, but I wasn't sure if that was the right way to do it.
The development site is on my local server, so can't show you an example.
The only other alternative is to use CSS, setting it to 'display: none'

MemberThis is something I would be interested in also. I prefer the header width in the previous sample theme.
Any genesis developers/techies on here know how to achieve this in Sample 2.6?
Thanks.

MemberYes I placed the suggested codes in Front Page 1 and 2 but nothing happens when I click on the link in Front Page 1.
The test site is on my local host, sorry I can't give you a link to the website.

MemberThanks for the quick response AnitaC.
I tried using the following code in the first widget area.
<a href="#front-page-2">Front Page 2</a>
The above code works for most genesis themes but not for Monochrome?
Geek Dom
MemberThanks for the quick response Brad. That worked!
Geek Dom
MemberThanks for the reassurance Victor.
I was slightly worried as the theme was last updated in 2014 (according to the download area).
Geek Dom
MemberThanks for the great tip! The element I needed to target was .entry-image so will have a play with this.
Geek Dom
MemberThanks All.
Some good guidance and tips. I guess the answer is to try and learn as much as possible. In my opinion, there are far too many variables in WP development to become a 'jack of all trades'. I will continue to tinker with the existing themes and keep an eye out for ant tips on the SP forums.

MemberHi Carlo,
Yes, that's what I a was wanting - the content and sidebar next to each other.
This works by increasing the sidebar width, but is it possible to remove the gap without making changes to the content or sidebar widths?
I think it might be related to 'containers/wraps' which I am still trying to figure out.
Thanks.
