Thanks for your help. Looks like I've got no choice other than to bite the bullet and pay!

When I try to access the Dashboard it says 'The website you were trying to reach is temporarily unavailable.'

My experience is limited to going in and changing a few lines of code via FTP - I am no expert.

I can get into the FTP side of things, but that's it! I can't access my Dashboard at all... do you think FTP will be enough access or are my hands tied?

Thanks. Do you have any suggestions for cleaning the site of malware/finding out how the breach occurred?

Bluehost are offering to sell me a cleaning service for $200!

    Cheers.

Thanks for your help. I tried to alter code in the CSS and I couldn't make much sense of it. I think this is a bit beyond me. Thanks anyway.

Thanks again. I have tried Genesis E-News Extended plugin but I just end up with the forms looking like this: http://www.chrislines.net/test/

How do I set the size of the e-mail form etc? Do you think this would be down to the mailchimp code or Carrie's Widget areas?

    Many thanks.

Thanks desireejester. That's a great tutorial. Much appreciated. I managed to get that set up on my site.

Would you mind if I asked, where would be a good place to start learning how to populate the widget with code to create the examples I gave above (Examples: at the top here: http://jilllynndesign.com/ or half way down the page here: http://connectwithcopy.com/)

I've tried just inserting mailchimp code but it doesn't look how I want and I'd like the widget sign up to look a bit more stylish.

    Thanks.

    Got it.

And the crucial bit is to *untick* 'Add site description (tagline) to <title> on home page?' in that section.

Then the Homepage Document Title kicks in.

    Thanks Carlo..

Well a strange things happened. For months I had a Title and Tagline entered, but only http://www.chrislines.net showed up when I hovered over a tab.

Then yesterday I cleared it all out, entered the title again and that is what you are now seeing when you hover over the tab 'Chris Lines - Game Composer'.

But what happens if you what a fully descriptive site title for SEO purposes, but you don't necessarily want that showing up on my home page?

Eg I might want my 'hover tab description' (for want of the correct wording) to read 'game composer for indie developers' but I might not want this exact wording to appear as my title on my home page.

Upload a Header Image I guess is one solution?

Yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about.

The Site Title & Tagline under Settings>General doesn't achieve this.

Which particular field in Genesis SEO settings are you referring to? Nothing in the 'Homepage Settings' section of Genesis>SEO Settings works?

    Thanks Carlo.

Do you think there are SEO implications for the title then?

I sorted this out on my own. I had another rogue functions.php file which was obviously in conflict with the one I was changing.

    Learning as I go...

So I need to change something in the custom css and style css?

Can't I just add to custom css? I thought setting up a custom css was good so I didn't have to change style css?

    Thanks.

Yes, I should celebrate really... one comment!

    Hi Jamie,

Thanks. If you look at the one (!) comment here: http://www.chrislines.net/indie-game-composer-what-affects-cost/

    you should see the issue.

    Thanks Sridhar,

Are those fields in the current CSS anyway and I would be changing them, or is this code new code to be added? ie at the moment does the Minimum Pro theme just default to white.

I followed you responsive slider tutorial btw so I have that up and working.

Outreach looks ok anitac, but I think the two above are a bit closer to what I'm after without jumping into code (which I'd like to avoid if I can!) Appreciate the suggestion.

Thanks braddalton. Minimum Pro includes a portfolio page. Do you think there is some ability to customise the layout/size of the portfolio grid there? Presumably I can embed YouTube videos in the portfolio?

Or can I install a plugin for the Parallax theme to give me a portfolio grid?
