I'd think adding the blog link would be sufficient as some users might want the category archive. But if you're set on removing it here's another snippet from Bill that says it does both: https://gist.github.com/billerickson/3776142
Brad WestMemberI think this might be helpful: Adding "Blog" to Genesis Breadcrumbs.
Brad WestMemberAre we talking about a style change? If it's only this one page, I'd use a template. In that template I'd add a body class so I could style the header (or anything else) however I liked. Something like this:
<?php /* Template Name: English */ //* Add custom body class to the head add_filter( 'body_class', 'bw_add_body_class' ); function bw_add_body_class( $classes ) { $classes[] = 'english'; return $classes; } //* Run the Genesis loop genesis();
Although this might not be what you mean. If you want to display a different menu for English pages, there are a quite a few tutorials out there: https://www.google.co.th/search?q=How+to+conditionally+replace+Navigation+menu+in+Genesis
Basically you want to tell it something like this:
if ( page_is_english() ) { remove_normal_sidebar(); add_english_sidebar(); }
This is pseudo code so it won't work as written, and you'll need to add it in a function, but it should get you started. If you still need help, reply and I'll see what I can do.
Brad WestMemberChanging the body element should get you where you need to go:
body { background-color: #fff; }
Brad WestMemberHow about if you added the
display: none;
only on WooCommerce pages?.woocommerce-page .page-title { display: none; }
Brad WestMemberBy default they are responsive. Do you have a link to a live site?
Brad WestMemberAs I see it, you're using the
page-description
element as the title. The easiest way to remove thepage-title
element that's causing the displacement would be this:.page-title { display: none; }
If you'd rather just remove the output, you could add an function to functions.php. Something like this might help: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/remove-base-page-title

Brad WestMemberHow is the background image being changed?
June 18, 2015 at 7:55 pm in reply to: Genesis Sample Theme – Line Up Menu & Site Title/Description #156727Brad WestMemberIt's hard to say without looking at the code. My best guess is the header image you've added is wider than the demo and pushed into the menu area moving it to the next line.
June 18, 2015 at 3:54 am in reply to: Genesis Sample Theme – Line Up Menu & Site Title/Description #156632Brad WestMemberI'd try some negative margin. Something like this:
.genesis-nav-menu { margin-top: -60px; }
Brad WestMemberI'd do it like this:
.home-section-1 { position: absolute; right: 0; left: 0; top: 0; bottom: 0; }
This will keep your homepage from scrolling, but you might need to adjust some padding for mobile.
Brad WestMemberBy default the primary navigation menu is below the header. It looks like you've added the code above to your functions file which has moved your menu into your header. You can't see it since it's white text on a white background, but that's where it's at.
If you want to move it below the header just remove that code from your functions file. If you want it where it is now, just change the color property in your style.css file.
Brad WestMemberIn your style.css file on line 1047 you've got:
.section_wrapper.is_fullslider { padding: 0; }
but on line 1030 you've also got:
.section_wrapper { background-color: #fff; font-family: 'Muli', sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; padding: 1% 0% 1% !important; position: relative; }
That
!important
tag is overriding thepadding: 0;
.Change the bit on line 1047 to this:
.section_wrapper.is_fullslider { padding: 0 !important; }
Brad WestMemberIt looks like Centric adds a page title area and adds
<div class="bumper"></div>
to push that area into view below the header. Your site isn't outputting the bumper; not on posts or pages. Not sure why or how to fix it, but if you fix that you'll fix your problem.Did you edit an .js files?
Brad WestMemberWhen you say tagline do you mean the site description? It is being output after the site title, but you've got it hidden in your CSS.
Check line 901 and 910 of style.css for:
.header-image .site-description, .header-image .site-title a { display: block; height: 0; margin-bottom: 0; text-indent: -9999px; }
and
.site-description { display: block; height: 0; margin-bottom: 0; text-indent: -9999px; }
Brad WestMemberThat element is built in flash. I don't know enough about flash to understand why it behaves differently than other iframe embeds. I looked around the web for tutorials, but couldn't find anything spastic to your situation.
I've added some tags to this thread, maybe that will get someone's attention who can help.
Brad WestMemberUnfortunately I don't have any idea why those plugins would be acting different than the others; especially if you moved the priority up to 500. Are they being output in the footer or inline? If not perhaps you could contact the plugin developer and ask how they're outputting their stylesheets.
Brad WestMemberI've heard there are some plugins that will do this, but I tend to shy away from plugins when I can.
Here's how I handle iframe embeds on my sites.
I add this to my style.css file:
/* iFrame –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– */ .iframe-embed { position:relative; margin-bottom:1rem; padding-bottom:56.25%; overflow:hidden; max-width:100%; height:auto } .iframe-embed iframe, .iframe-embed object, .iframe-embed embed { position:absolute; top:0; left:0; width:100%; height:100% }
Then I wrap any
<iframe ...></iframe>
code with<div class="iframe-embed">...</div>
. In your video example above it would look like this:<div class="iframe-embed"> <iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/99488584/"></iframe> </div>
This will allow for full-width videos that will shrink to fit the screen on smaller devices.
Brad WestMemberYou can edit your posts meta data with this:
add_filter( 'genesis_post_meta', 'sp_post_meta_filter' ); function sp_post_meta_filter($post_meta) { if ( !is_page() ) { $post_meta = '[post_categories before="Filed Under: "] [post_tags before="Tagged: "]'; return $post_meta; }}
Just remove the
[post_tags before="Tagged: "]
bit.More details here: http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/post-meta/
