So I turned off WP Cache got rid of the offending lines but still have the white space problem. Can't see it in the source code.
AnnamarieParticipantYes, It was WP Cache. But that's not the issue, is it?
AnnamarieParticipantOkay..?? I don't know where that came from ? I haven't touched it, other than plugins.. The "minify" might be a clue - WPCache?
AnnamarieParticipantThanks! Fixed. Nice trick. I'll try to remember it. : )

I AM using the header right widget area. Then I start playing with sizing and padding etc to make it look good on the desktop and it looks awful on small screens (iPad and iPhone). Of course I can style each of those devices in media queries. Having seen that other elements are more responsive I was wondering if there isn't a better way?
Thanks
AnnamarieParticipantYeah, I got help from Barry at DLM. : )
AnnamarieParticipantHI Victor,
Well yes, I removed "landing-text" in one of my efforts to understand what is going on. Must have been when you looked at it.
But I'm tearing my hair out. I moved the div landing-text to before h1 so that your suggestion above would be sensible. Still nada. I keep thinking it's got to be a typo but I don't see it.It starts line 441.
AnnamarieParticipantwell that was hugely not helpful. Let me try again.
My class is .landing-page
I was able to style the table using
.landing-page td etcSo why doesn't
.landing-page h1 work?Or for that matter a completely NEW class? for which there should be no cascade , right?
AnnamarieParticipantI had to go and look at the file for me to remember what "gppro" is. Ah Ha! This is one of the reasons I didn't use the Desgin Palette on a later site I worked on. Thanks I've got some idea now how to troubleshoot it.
How did you see that file? View Source?
AnnamarieParticipantWell that's a cool tool that I didn't know about. Thanks - it does show my site differently on the iPhone than what I experience on the actual phone. Thoughts about that?
You say I'm using custom css from gppro.. Huh? Oh wait, maybe I did a copy/paste trying to figure out the css for media queries. If so, lost in the past. So .. The way to rectify is to download Genesis Sample (or find file on my hard drive) and study?
Thanks for help.
AnnamarieParticipantHi,
Here's one link: http://www.sharinghousing.com/2010/03/24/who-is-a-bad-housemate/
It's Yoast that has alerted me to this issue. Is this actually a gambit to upsell their "Premium" version?
I like the idea of dropping the date from the permalink.
Thanks for help.
AnnamarieParticipantWell that's interesting. I can of course do it via FTP - but it's the same host so that's not the issue. One is an "added-on" domain so maybe that's why Genesis doesn't see it?
AnnamarieParticipantI'm piggy-backing because that is EXACTLY the same question that brought me to the forum. I have two sites too, and one prompted the upgrade and the other didn't. And the same issue about WP upgrading automatically.
Thanks

http://patientsympatheticcoaching.comAnnamarieParticipantThanks!
AnnamarieParticipantWell thanks for responding, but no that didn't work. : (
AnnamarieParticipantThanks that did it!
AnnamarieParticipantI'm getting closer!
AnnamarieParticipantThanks!
I tried replacing my php for yours. We're using different calls for the dashicons. Your code crashed my site. ??
Go figure.I'll hope someone can steer me (us?) right.
AnnamarieParticipantOkay! I'm going to copy your code..
SO happy I was able to help someone. Usually I'm the one asking. : )
