Yesterday for the first time I noticed how my site is looking on an iPhone. I'm pretty sure that when I was designing it I wouldn't have left the text all scrunched over to the left and so small. Something has changed? There's been a WP update and a Genesis update.
I need to get it to look right and though I'm willing to dig back in and remind myself about how to do media queries and CSS, I'm wondering if an experienced person looking at it would be able to recommend a CSS command that would make it right. It is true that I was lazy about the CSS styling when I was working on the site. I'm using the Sample Child Theme.
Related.. is there a tool for like Firebug that will let me try out CSS for the iPhone?
You can use the Studio Press responsive test site to adjust your css: http://www.studiopress.com/responsive/.
You are also using custom css named gppro that is overriding the Genesis Sample css.
Well that's a cool tool that I didn't know about. Thanks - it does show my site differently on the iPhone than what I experience on the actual phone. Thoughts about that?
You say I'm using custom css from gppro.. Huh? Oh wait, maybe I did a copy/paste trying to figure out the css for media queries. If so, lost in the past. So .. The way to rectify is to download Genesis Sample (or find file on my hard drive) and study?
Thanks for help.
I had to go and look at the file for me to remember what "gppro" is. Ah Ha! This is one of the reasons I didn't use the Desgin Palette on a later site I worked on. Thanks I've got some idea now how to troubleshoot it.
How did you see that file? View Source?
