    Hello there,

    I am using Minimalist Pro Child theme and am trying to figure out how to add "Custom Fields" to my posts and then show them in the"Genesis Featured Post widget" for display on the front page.

    It seems not enough to simply add the created custom field in the brackets under "Show Post" in the widget settings.

    Has anybody got a solution.

    What you see under the Show Post in brackets are shortcodes. If you want to use a shortcode, you would have to create it.

    The Featured Post Widget also has a filter you may be able to use. The filter is named genesis_featured_post_title
