Wondering if it's possible to make the hero portrait into a widget that accepts video?

Bumping this up to the top.

I have the same question, though I don't mind hard coding it and not using a widget. Has anyone done this, or even just made the hero image clickable to launch a video in a lightbox?

He sometimes puts out a tutorial for one theme, but the process applies to most Genesis based themes. I suggest you reach out to him directly. You may also be able to reach out to him through the Genesis Slack group or FB.
