I'm considering Modern Portfolio for a new site for a client, but she likes the masonry grid look. Is it possible to alter the size/dimension of the image boxes on the home page of Modern Portfolio?
I tried out Visual Composer but am having issues with a few things and I'm extremely disappointed in the level of support. Can't find answers to my questions (which seem pretty simple) in their knowledge base, and they've made it virtually impossible to actually submit a support ticket.
I'd love to stick with a StudioPress theme, so I'm wondering if it's possible to modify Modern Portfolio to give me a bit of a masonry grid look.
No current URL to post; just researching right now.
Topic: Need some help using Genesis
Hi,
We are using the Outreach Pro theme on this website:
http://hemotek-dev.lyndabanks.net/There are a couple things we are running into, and I'm hoping that somebody on the forum could please help us with this. I'm a developer that just started helping with this site, and I've never worked with Genesis before. I don't want to just start from scratch because the site is so close to finished.
Anyway, so far here's what I've been unable to figure out:
1. If you look at the site we have drop-down menus where the top level item is not a page, simply a custom link. This works fine in desktop view but when I resize the browser window or view the site on a mobile device nothing happens when you click the name of those top level items while the inteded behavior should be to show the submenu. You have to click the little down area to access the submenu. So I would like to know where exactly the code that powers the menu is located. I looked in header.php but there doesn't really seem to be anything there.
2. On the home page (under the slider), only the widgets show. We would prefer to show the actual content of the "Home" page.
3. I prefer to use the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin which is fantastic. However, as soon as I Activate it in WordPress, it entirely breaks the Genesis Responsive Slider. The only solution I came up with is to disable the plugin which while fixing the slider doesn't really solve the problem ๐We are kind of on a time crunch which is why I'm helping complete this site. Any ideas or suggestions to fix these bugs would be much appreciated. The Outreach Pro theme is otherwise excellent. Thanks in advance,
MichaelTopic: Visual Composer
Hi,
Do I need to remove Visual Composer before installing Genesis?
Hi,
Does anyone know if you can use the wpbakery Visual Composer Front End Builder with Genesis Child Themes? I ask because I have seen some generic posts on other web sites saying that the VC front end builder may not work with all theme suppliers.
I have read every thread on this forum that talks about Visual Composer, and would be highly interested in any additional comments regarding its use with Genesis Child Themes. Successful? Problems?
Thanks much!
Dan
Hello,
I am trying to put a Visual Composer shortcode in the genesis_after_header hook but - despite 2Enable shortcode in this hook" is activated, the shortcode does not work.Any idea about that?
Thank you.
Welcome!
