Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThis is probably not the right group to ask this question. It's not related to anything Genesis or Studio Press. You can probably handle this just be creating links to your pages. Doing this through Ajax sounds like it will require custom programming that could cost you a few thousand dollars. If you have the budget, I suggest you discuss with a developer. Otherwise, take the easy way and create the links.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?August 3, 2017 at 5:43 am in reply to: HUGE update Leap Genesis Framework 2.1.2 to 2.5 – WordPress 3.5.1-4.8 #209934Victor FontModeratorYou're kind of in a catch-22 situation here. If you upgrade to WordPress 4.8 before upgrading to Genesis 2.5, your site is going to break. If you upgrade to Genesis 2.5 while you're still on WordPress 3.5.1, your site is going to break. The best way to do this in your situation is to switch to a default WordPress theme, upgrade WordPress, then upgrade Genesis through FTP. Once Genesis is upgraded, you can switch back to your Genesis theme.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorWordPress 4.8 changed the way text widgets work. They now use the TinyMCE editor for the text widgets. TinyMCE strips non-standard HTML from your text. You can't fix this either. Because of the change, I collaborated with another developer to release the original text widget. https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-text-widget/
Also, WordPress 4.8.1 has added a new widget for HTML.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?August 2, 2017 at 12:43 pm in reply to: Slider fits page perfectly on Home Page but not on other pages in Executive Pro #209919Victor FontModeratorThat's something in the slider CSS doing that. You should open a support ticket with the slider team. This has nothing to do with Genesis or your child theme.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorYou're over thinking this. All you need to add HTML back to excerpts is this:
add_filter( 'get_the_content_limit_allowedtags', 'get_the_content_limit_custom_allowedtags' ); function get_the_content_limit_custom_allowedtags() { // Add custom tags to this string return '<script>,<style>,<span>,<br>,<em>,<i>,<ul>,<ol>,<li>,<a>'; }
Add whatever tags you want to the return line.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorYou placed all of your custom changes inside of a media query. They will only display on screens 480px or smaller.
You also seem to be missing a lot of CSS from this file. It's possible you're using a different version of the theme than I have on my site. Perhaps the front page CSS was moved to style-front.css.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorYou can change any element you want. It's all controlled by the theme's style.css file.
From the basic nature of your questions, it sounds like you can benefit from CSS training. The first step is to learn how to use your browser's inspect tool. https://victorfont.com/how-to-use-your-browsers-inspect-tool/
With the built-in tools at your disposal, you can right click on an element and inspect the CSS that controls that element's appearance. You can experiment with changes in the inspect tool and when you are happy with them, make them permanent by editing style.css.
Never use the WordPress editor to make changes. If you make a mistake using the WordPress editor, you can bring your site down.
If you want more specific answers, you need to provide a link to your site when you post questions, otherwise it makes it difficult for the community volunteers to help you.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?August 1, 2017 at 7:40 pm in reply to: Infinity Pro Flexible Widgets: Trouble with 2 rows, 4 widgets #209863Victor FontModeratorThere are 2 functions in functions.php that determine the class to add to the flexible widget area to display the second row. This is the code in functions.php:
// Setup widget counts. function infinity_count_widgets( $id ) { global $sidebars_widgets; if ( isset( $sidebars_widgets[ $id ] ) ) { return count( $sidebars_widgets[ $id ] ); } } function infinity_widget_area_class( $id ) { $count = infinity_count_widgets( $id ); $class = ''; if ( $count == 1 ) { $class .= ' widget-full'; } elseif ( $count % 3 == 1 ) { $class .= ' widget-thirds'; } elseif ( $count % 4 == 1 ) { $class .= ' widget-fourths'; } elseif ( $count % 2 == 0 ) { $class .= ' widget-halves uneven'; } else { $class .= ' widget-halves'; } return $class; }
The math that calculates the class is the modulus operator. It returns the remainder of a division problem. The first function counts the number of widgets assigned to a widget area, then divides that number by 1, 2, 3, or 4. On your site, the class in use is widget-fourths. The only way the math will return a remainder of 1 when divided by 4 is if it is counting either 1 or 5 widgets. Whatever the case, these functions are not returning the correct values if you have 4 widgets. Four widgets should give you the widget-thirds class. This is what's wrong, but I can't tell you why because I don't have access to your code. Good luck.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThis is happening because you are using floats in the CSS to display the featured widgets. You have to clear the floats to return the display to normal. Add a text widget in the home-top widget area after your featured widgets and for the content add:
<div class="first"></div>
