Each menu item in WordPress has a specific id associated with it. You can use it to attach properties to just that specific menu item.
So for example you could do something like this on your example page:
li#menu-item-8 { padding-right: 100px; }upthinkParticipantI don't this will work. When paginating the pages are all "home" - so whether you are on http://abc.com/page/2 or http://abc.com the call to is_home() will return true
upthinkParticipantYou are welcome 🙂
Please mark this resolved
upthinkParticipantNo I meant what do you have here right now:
//* Customize the footer add_filter( ‘genesis_footer_output’, ‘wintersong_custom_footer’ ); function wintersong_custom_footer( $output ) { $output = sprintf( ‘<p>%s%s</p>’, __( ‘Powered by ‘, ‘wintersong’ ), __( ‘Genesis’, ‘wintersong’ ) ); return $output; }
upthinkParticipantCan you paste the function you have in your functions.php file for me to see (am referring to this one wintersong_custom_footer)
upthinkParticipantThe exact code I had sent will remove the link and just keep the text
upthinkParticipantFor the footer - just change the output to the text you want (am assuming you do not want to link it to anything). So something like this:
//* Customize the footer add_filter( 'genesis_footer_output', 'wintersong_custom_footer' ); function wintersong_custom_footer( $output ) { $output = "(C) 2015 Renee L"; return $output; }
About centering the logo image - you will have to add margin: 0 auto; to the .site-title a in the related media query
upthinkParticipantI think what you are looking for is this one:
You can use a custom field that returns a set of posts (Post Object)
upthinkParticipantTry this in your css:
.site-title a { background: url('YOUR LOGO IMAGE') no-repeat; /* to place your logo as an image in the background */ display: block; height: 100px; /*set this to your logo height */ width: 100px; /*set this to your logo width */ text-indent: -9999px; /*this is to get rid of the text */ }
upthinkParticipantAssuming that the custom field you created is page_top_image - then it seems correct.
upthinkParticipantYes this is correct. The code you have was supposed to be in an appropriate hook in your theme. I think you have used it in your content area. If you do want to put it in your content area then use this instead:
[acf field="{page_top_image}"]
upthinkParticipantPlease copy the code by enclosing it in the code tags of the forum editor - I think some of it did not come through right because of that
upthinkParticipantI suggested using Custom Field because you are already using the Featured Image elsewhere and need a different image on each page/post.
Looking here - http://new.darrylepollack.com/about-darryle/
I think you almost have it right - just make sure that the code for the image source runs as a php snippet and not as an html text (like it is right now) and I think you should be good.upthinkParticipantIf you are already using the featured image then I suggest you take the route of using a Custom Field - checkout a plugin to help you with that - such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-custom-fields/
Once you have the field created - then use the value of the field to place the image wherever you want
upthinkParticipantI think what you need is to use Featured Images. Each page can have a different featured image which you can set within the page. Then in the hook where you are currently calling a static image - do something like this:
if ( has_post_thumbnail() ) { the_post_thumbnail(); }
upthinkParticipantI think that the theme it is looking for it called Nomadic. Is it one of the themes that you deleted? If yes then hopefully you took a backup and can restore the files for that one
upthinkParticipantTry adding this in your wp-config.php (no guarantee that it will work though):
define('WP_TEMP_DIR','/tmp');
upthinkParticipantI think this is a hosting setup issue so better check with them.
upthinkParticipantCan you show the page where you have tried it?
upthinkParticipantIf you have access to server error log file then best thing is to first check that out to see what is going on.
Next best thing is to try and remove the plugins (rename the existing plugin directory to something like plugins-old and create a new empty directory) and then see what happens
