Need to remove white space below Menu Education Theme Blog Page

I would like to remove a white  bar that sits below the menu bar and above the blog posts.

When I first uploaded the theme, there was a "Call to Action" bar here.

Any recommendations on how to get rid of it?

Add this code to the end of your child themes style.css file:

#home-featured .featured .widget-wrap {
    display: none;
}

I added the code, but it didn't work.

I appreciate any other suggestions.

I tested the code in Firebug as a new rule.

It only removes part of the white space which is associated with the featured top widget.

Don't add the code.

Look for:

#home-featured .featured .inner {
padding: 25px;
}

and then change padding: 25px; to "display: none;

I found the code, but since I am not much of an expert with code, I wanted to clarify how it should look after the change is made.

Do I delete the 25px and replace with "display: none;
