From this post by @wpsmith (pay attention to the code - you will need to modify it to edit the pages/posts on your site)
<php // Modify Post Info add_filter( 'genesis_post_info', 'my_post_info_filter' ); function my_post_info_filter( $post_info ) { global $post; if ( in_array( $post->ID, array( 1, 2, 3, 4123, 432, ) ) { //edit the numbers to whatever post IDs you'd like. $post_info = '[ post_date] by [ post_author_posts_link] at [ post_time] [ post_comments] [ post_edit]'; //remove spaces after initial [ } return $post_info; }
January 12, 2013 at 2:49 pm in reply to: How to include drop down menus in the streamline theme #11491SusanModeratorMenus are not related to whether a page is a parent of another page; menus are set up separately.
To enable drop down under both primary and secondary navigation, go to Dashboard > Genesis > Theme Settings. Select the "Enable Fancy Dropdowns" under Primary Navigation.
Then, set up your menu: go to Dashboard > Menus > then go ahead and create a menu, by clicking the + button. Name the menu. Then, select what pages to appear under the menu.
For drop-downs, you would indent pages under top level pages in the menu.
January 12, 2013 at 2:12 pm in reply to: How do I get Blog to show parts in bold, image, written by… #11485SusanModeratorMy bad! I didn't see the theme you were using in your original post 🙁
1)would like it to have written by xy instead of right now it just has by.on the blog
I recommend the Genesis Simple Edits plug in - it will allow you to easily customize this.
2) if you takes look at this web url at: http://kendallsummerhawk.com/ and her blog link in the menu and notice Kendall’s part posts on her main blog have numerous paragraphs then read more ( I would like to do similar instead of just a few sentences)
In your functions.php, add this code (changing 50 to the number of words you would like to include in your post excerpt:
/** Modify the length of post excerpts */ add_filter( 'excerpt_length', 'custom_excerpt_length' ); function custom_excerpt_length($length) { return 50; // pull first 50 words }
3. OK, you got me on that one; let me do some more research...
January 12, 2013 at 8:36 am in reply to: How do I get Blog to show parts in bold, image, written by… #11443SusanModeratorFor your full name to show: Dashboard > Users > Your Profile > Display Name Publicly as (chose your full name from the drop down) - If your full name isn't available in the drop down, add your full name to the "nickname" section above the drop-down. Scroll to the bottom of the screen, and click "Update profile".
For parts of a post/page to show in bold (assuming you are talking about the content of the post/page), you would select "B" in the visual editor tool bar.For the rest, can you please provide a link to your site, or let me know which theme you are using - it will help me locate the code you need to change.
SusanModeratorGo to Genesis > Theme Settings and changing the default layout to full width. Add sidebars to the other pages as appropriate.
SusanModeratorAs Judy indicated, it's free for a personal blog, and is what I use for my own blog.

SusanModeratorYou're welcome!
SusanModeratorGlad you got it resolved!
SusanModeratorYes, if you delete the child theme, it will revert to the Genesis framework.
SusanModeratorYou're welcome. 🙂
SusanModeratorI don't know how to remove the link altogether, but there's a plug-in which will redirect an image to another URL:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/page-links-to/
Or, you could try custom URL at the bottom of a page and/or post.
Maybe someone will be along soon with a better solution.
SusanModeratorYou're welcome. Closing this thread as resolved.
SusanModeratorAre you looking for the whole content of the comments, or just a list of the comments (with a link to the comment)? If you just want the list/link set-up, there is a widget called "recent comments". You can configure that to display all your comments. If you want to place it into a page, I would recommend creating a widget area/"sidebar" specific to that page.
There may be a better way of doing it, but wanted to just offer that suggestion.
SusanModeratorIf you click on your avatar or user name, it will take you to your profile - from there, you can see all the threads you created, and all the replies you posted.
SusanModerator@Melanie - I see you also responded to the other post where I commented about BBPress 🙂
SusanModeratorThis forum uses BBPress. You might want to give that a try.
