Nice job, and yay on getting great feedback from your visitors - that's awesome!
Unsolicited feeback: - your logo is a .jpg file - I would recommend switching out to a .png file - text stays sharper on a .png versus .jpg
SusanModeratorFrank - let me know if you need any assistance - I'm not a designer or developer by occupation - just a volunteer moderator who is hooked on this product. 🙂
SusanModeratorChange the setting to show "latest posts" (not static page, as you have done.), Then, set up the widgetized areas on your home page. Your home page will populate correctly.
Is your blog page set up using the blog template?
SusanModeratorI unspammed you, Anita 🙂
SusanModeratorFrank - StudioPress offer a 30 day money back guarantee (no questions asked), so if it's not working for you or your customers, that's an option.
SusanModerator... Just killed another 15 of them 🙁
SusanModeratorCharlie - as a stop-gap, you can do what Anitac does - send me a tweet. I'm on vacation right now, so I'm not around as much as I usually am, but when I see a Tweet, if I'm around, I'll log in and clean them up.
SusanModeratorFrank - what are you looking to do - a question like "are there any more tutorials" is pretty vague. If you need technical assistance with set-up of a theme, you can submit a ticket here:
SusanModeratorJenn - if you feel comfortable with letting me know your login information, you can either shoot me an e-mail (my contact information is in my signature), or submit a support ticket through the Pretty Darn Cute support forum and I will pick it up - I'll take a look and troubleshoot for you.
SusanModeratorBrad is talking about Featured IMAGE, not Featured Post - they are two completely separate things.
You should go ahead and set up each widget area so you have the idea of how the whole site looks compared to the demo, then if you decide you don't need to use those widgeted areas, you can remove content from them.
(PS - I provide support over at the Pretty Darn Cute support desk when I'm not here...)
SusanModeratorI’ve been wondering why I can’t get the home page to display the way the sample Adorable theme does
To have the home page on the Adorable theme look like the demo, you need to fill in each of the widget areas.
Adorable Theme setup instructions (you have to be logged in on Lindsey's site to view the tutorials)
SusanModerator@Nat - I don't believe the change you made should affect the middle right widgets. I recommend putting in a support ticket explaining your issue - the code I added to mine was the result of me submitting my own support ticket.
March 10, 2013 at 9:22 am in reply to: News Theme: Need to change side bar to accomendate 336W x 280L Adsense ad #25307SusanModeratorAngela - send me an e-mail [email protected], and I will send you the code.
SusanModeratorMarch 9, 2013 at 7:33 am in reply to: Customize "Return to Top" snippet produces server error #25177SusanModeratorI know this doesn't specifically answer the question about the code snippet, but have your tried using the Simple Edits plugin? I can add/change parts of most of my PHP code, but for some reasons, footer snippets always through me off, so I've given up fighting the code, and just installed the plugin.
SusanModeratorSusanModeratorYes, your client would receive the Genesis framework from you, and then can do whatever he wishes with it. The only thing he cannot do is get support through the help desk. Any clients of his also cannot get support through the help desk. That is reserved for the original purchaser of the Genesis framework. Support is handled based on the registered email address used when purchasing the framework.
SusanModeratorYou're welcome! I'll close this thread as "resolved".
SusanModeratorNot related to your question, but related to your comment about the difficulty with posting code here in the forum:
http://www.studiopress.community/faq/ - read #5.
SusanModeratorI do apologize - it was getting late, and I grabbed a piece of code snippet that asked for removal of the "read more", but on further review, that user wanted to remove everything but the post title and image. Let me dig some more...
