    Hi Carrie,

    I've enabled right click on my site. You can help me check the codes.

    Can you let me know where exactly do I need to paste those codes in the style.css file?

    Will this work?

    I really hope it does!

    Thanks!

    Regards,

    Sunil

    Hi Carrie,

    Yes. I'm running the W3 Total Cache plugin on my site. It is considered one of the most important plugins for wordpress.
    Everything else is fine. Its just that, I will not be able to see any updates available unless I personally go to plugins section on the panel.
    Thanks!
    Regards,

    Hey, thanks for the advice! I appreciate it! First I think I'll try to deactivate my plugins one at a time. Maybe I should not deactivate the genesis plugins. Just leave them alone first.

    I came across w3schools site before. I'll check on your recommendation. If all still fails, I'll just raise the white flag. πŸ™

    Hi Lisa, I'm afraid I don't think I can afford to pay for any such services. I'm not making any money from this site. I was using a free theme before this and I was getting moderate traffic until Google came up with the EMD (Exact Match Domain) algo update.

    Unfortunately, since then, my site got zero traffic. I'm just trying to rebuild my site for a better infrastructure. I just need to tweak a little bit and then start concentrating on my site content and rewriting some of them.

    So, at this point, I'm not ready to make any financial commitment. Purchasing the genesis theme is the last thing I can do for now.

    Thanks.

    Hi Lisa,

    If you don't mind, can I give you access to my wordpress account? Maybe you can help me check what's wrong. This stuff is too technical for me to handle.

    Please let me know. Thank you.

    Lisa,

    Hope you have seen it. I'll be removing the following code that you have asked me to place in the style.css file because its not working. πŸ™

    Hi Lisa,

    I've added it. But its only the height of the slider that has increased. The content area is still chipped off.Β  You can take a look at my site now to see the difference.

    Hi Lisa,

    I can't find anything in the style.css file about slider height settings. I do have firebug, but not sure how to use it. Yes, I have W3 Total cache plugin.

    The slider height seems to be sticking to the featured image I've set to all the featured posts on my slideshows. My featured image size for all the posts are the same. Width: 517 Height: 195.

    But the height settings of the slider is 320. Yet it keeps sticking to the image size.

    Hi anitac,

    Ok. I've disabled it and tried loading the site on IE. The slider still did not appear.

    Hi anitac,

    No, I can't disable this plugin. Because I have a slidedeck slideshow running on this page. http://adultacnetreatmentreviews.com/reviews/clinique-acne-solution-review. So disabling it will stop this slider from working.

    If it is a plugin conflict, than the slider wouldn't be appearing in all the browsers. So it must be something about IE compatibility issue. I'm using version 9 of IE.

    Any other way of resolving it other than disabling this plugin?

    Ok. I've been reading all the above posts on their problems with the IE browser. Same case for me too. Safari, Chrome and Firefox has no issue.

    Here isΒ  the problem with IE. The slideshow doesn't appear on this browser at all. My site is http://adultacnetreatmentreviews.com.

    Is there some IE bug I need to fix? Its worrying that the majority of users are still using IE for surfing the internet.

    Can someone help here?

    Well, all I did was using the genesis simple hooks method to place the codes for my banner in the before-the-head hook. You can place any size of your banner this way.

    Hi,

    I'm not getting any response for my query. Do I have to purchase a slideshow from slidedeck in order to place it on a static page? Isn't there any other way? I bought the Agency theme as the demo site looked good that has a slideshow in front. That's what I want as my front page.

    Any help here?

    Hi Jon,

    Sorry. I did not work. The banner did not appear. So I'm recalling the banner through the genesis hook method again. πŸ™

    Hey Jon! I managed to remove the gap! Thanks! You seem to be well-versed in css!

    So for the 2nd code you showed me, before placing it in the style sheet, do I have to remove the codes I placed in the genesis header hook first?

    Hi Jon,

    Thanks for your response. Ok. Before I implement what you highlighted, where exactly in the style.css file, do I place the following code?

    #header {
    display:none;
    }

    Because when I open the style.css file, I see many header option codes there. Also where do I place these following codes too?

    .header-full-width #title {
    background:url(images/header.jpg) no-repeat;
    }

    In this case, the [header.jpg] is to be replaced by my original image name right?

    I just switched from eleven40 theme today to the agency theme. It was difficult to customize the header for that theme. But I liked the footer of that theme. I had a nightmare when I tried to edit the php file. All I did was added an extra } code and the whole thing went blank! But thankfully Brad Dalton from the helpdesk helped resolved my problem.
