Hi Susan,
Wow! Finally someone answered my inquiry! Thanks for that Susan.
Yes. I contacted my host which is namecheap.com and they have set up a staging site for me to do the testing. However the staging site could not really replicate the live site version as they said wordpress sites are actually pretty complicated with their settings.
I have not really done any testing so far. Just looking around for a nice theme to replace my current one. I have to make it look really professional and to get a theme relevant for my acne niche seems a bit difficult here. 🙁
SunilMemberHi Victor, thanks for your response. I just want to change my current banner to a new one. That's all.
So how would editing the php and css files change it?I don't get it! 🙁
SunilMemberHi Victor,
I definitely wouldn't want to mess with any php file. I experienced absolute nightmare handling it.
I did not touch any functions.php or any css file when I uploaded the header banner.
The site title is all part of the banner image.Isn't there any other way around this?
SunilMemberI still see the G icon. I don't understand. When I download the file from my cpanel, I see my own favicon.
Do I have to address this issue with my host then?SunilMemberI went in again to the folder under wp-content > themes > agency > Images > favicon.ico.
I downloaded this image to my pc and I see it as the icon I created. So, why isn't it still not showing up?
This file was already replaced with the original G icon and I don't understand why when you downloaded this file, you still saw the G icon????
Really puzzling.
SunilMemberI dare not mess up with the php stuff. The code looks pretty scary.
There was once I tried to add a code and uploaded it and my whole site went blank white!
I even added the original code which I saved earlier before editing and still it didn't work.
I end up trying to get help from my site host and they managed to resolve it.SunilMemberHi guys, I'm using the old agency theme for my site. I uploaded just as how Badlywired has instructed on his blog on adding a favicon.
I don't see the favicon I created. It hasn't replaced the G icon yet. I did overwrite it when I uploaded through my cpanel account.
So, is this normal? How long does it take in order for me to see my favicon?
Btw, this is my site. http://adultacnetreatmentreviews.com.
SunilMemberOk. I'm sure you will get help in no time!
SunilMemberYou've got a nice site! Nice theme indeed!
When you edit any posts, you will see 4 or 3-digit numbers in the long url. Those numbers are the posts id.
You enter these ids in the slider settings seperated by a comma and you will see your posts images on the slideshow.I'm not in my office now. I'll get back to you later on the slider settings on my wordpress admin panel.
SunilMemberHi Arine,
Did you place the correct id of the post that you wanted to feature it in the slider?
What is your site url?I'm using the Agency Pro theme. What theme are you using?
SunilMemberHi Arine!
You have the same slider ID problem? Yes, I solved it.
The post which I changed the date actually became unpublished as the date was 1 day ahead.
Thus the image id related to that post disappeared. That's all.
Regards,
SunilSunilMemberHi,
Sorry. I managed to resolve the issue. I've updated the date of publication of this post. Since I'm in the Asia Pacific region, we are one day ahead. So, if I changed the date of publication to 27th of Sept, 2014, its still 26th in Europe.
Anyway, thanks! Enjoy posting any problems here with the Studiopress theme. I always get a quick reply from fellow bloggers here! 🙂
SunilMemberHi Genwrock,
I deactivated and painfully activated one by one to see which plugin was causing the problem. I managed to find it.
Its the guest post plugin.I do have guest post on my website. Now after deactivating, the page is blank. I guess I would have to look for a new guest post plugin.
Hey, Genwrock, thanks for the wonderful recommended solutions! I would not have been able to write new content if not for you. You've been great! 🙂
Thanks! 🙂
SunilMemberHi genwrock,
I've been always updating the plugins whenever there is an update alert on my wordpress panel.
Did renaming the plugins folder solved the issue for you? I'm just afraid to do so, as I fear my entire site will crash or something.
I've been reading many of the solutions online. Some say its because of the TinyMCE advanced plugin update. Some suggested deactivating all the plugins and activating them again. So, am really confused here.
SunilMemberI've just sent you the password.
SunilMemberSorry, I thought when I sent email via my dashboard, it will send the password as well?
Ok. I'll email you to that address you gave me.SunilMemberOk. I've done it. I put genwrock as username and as administrator.
SunilMemberSorry. I'm an idiot in such technical stuff. Do I use your contact form to send the details?
Or should I put [email protected]?Dummy address? How can it reach you then?
SunilMemberSorry, its asking for your email so that I can send the details of the account to you.
So what's your email address please?
SunilMemberDo I add a new user and assign a password? Is that's how I do it?
Besides, this problem started ever since I updated my robots.txt file and it has nothing to do with breadcrumbs.
That's why I'm puzzled.
