You can make the themes do nearly anything you can think of. This should help get you started ... but it's not for sidebar, you would use primary sidebar widget for that. this will give you a "home widget" = to width of content area. I used it in eleven40 to get more control of presentation.

The new version of Lifestyle doesn't use the home bottom like the old Church / Lifestyle themes did. If you view your theme in the theme editor, you will see that the home.php doesn't call for a home bottom and that the functions.php doesn't either.
Be certain to preview sites on larger monitors/ higher resolutions.. Your target market will be a few die hards but more likely people with disposable incomes (means they can afford higher end computers/monitors).
I'm at 1900 X 1200 and I think it probably doesn't look the way you want it to.
Someone may have said this already, but on the second one (http://imageinkcustoms.com) I'd set wrap margin for right/left to auto so the site centers. On large screens like mine looks odd left aligned.
The mobile responsive attributes are near the bottom of the css.
I choose to hide items that don't work with the theme in mobile designs or, use text instead of a graphic. It's really an issue of trial and error, unless you can provide a specific example.
While I don't recommend manually inserted scripts (conflicts can and will arise) check out Dynamic Drive, they have a bunch of scripts you can use that allow for all kinds of dynamic extras.
Depending on exactly what you are trying to do, you don't need to add extra widgets areas to the code (perhaps last one #7 if you want it full width).
Just add two text widgets to each widget container and you have the first 6.
If you don't care about the width, add a 3rd text widget to the widget area 1 and you have seven widget boxes.
If you want the 7th widget area full width, that's a different story.
I use marketing to mean getting the message out, not necessarily selling something. I just meant the emails talking about all the great new stuff and the one on one help.

try: auto 20px (where 20 is right /left spacing)
Thanks for the suggestion, but problem is - applying background to inner isn't doing anything. I've searched for conflicts, but can't find any. Even apply a simple background color doesn't work; I've also tried it using !important.
Check in other browsers also..
In addition to changing height for #footer and #nav/#menu (depending on theme) you also need to adjust margin and padding top compensate for the change in height.
Anyone?
I also tried adding structural support to functions and defining #inner .wrap to have a background and still nothing.
You can also try locating the class of the particular widget title with Firebug then in CSS set display: none; for it's class.
Not certain I understand the concerns about businesses having PayPal (though I doubt that every one of those fish businesses have PayPal), but Gravity forms with PaPal is the way to go for quick and easy setup.
Registrations through PayPal will not require the end user to have a PayPal account; they can simply choose the CC option.
Also PayPal does offer a Merchant account that will denote The Chamber instead of PayPal - bussiness name on the purchasers bank statement.
Anyone with their own booth should be running their own payment system, so the above should fill the needs of the Chamber.
