Just wrapping up a couple clients and would appreciate some feedback.

Both look good. I love the clean style of the Tierney site, so it makes me want to minimize the "READ MORE" button and maybe just make it a gray text link with it and the title centered under the image on the "Work" page. That could make it cleaner, I think.

Thanks for the feedback Tracy, I may just have to implement it!

Nice going Seth.. I like the "sidebar" of the Imageink sets it apart from other websites...
Checked out your own site as well and it gave me a few ideas for the content of my own website redesign that I am wrapping up at the moment.. Thanks for that.

Which theme was http://colintierneydesign.com based on?

    Nice work.

    Thanks, Randy

It started out as the Skope theme created by Wes Straham: http://appfinite.com/themes/skope. He creates some amazing themes. One of the best Genesis theme designers out around (in my opinion).

Nice work Seth! I like the first one simply because I'm a HUGE fan of the "minimalist" look - crisp and clean. I like the second one because of its uniqueness.

Thanks Len, they were both fun projects to work on, challenging as well because both site owners are graphic designers by trade (and I'm not!), so they were somewhat particular about how things should look. At least, more so than my normal small business clients:)

Someone may have said this already, but on the second one (http://imageinkcustoms.com) I'd set wrap margin for right/left to auto so the site centers. On large screens like mine looks odd left aligned.

The theme was actually designed to align left like that. The client really liked that feature since it's so different. I prefer symmetry, so it took a little getting used to, but it does stand out!

The clients always right when it comes to the design of their website, even if it turns your stomach 🙂

Very nice, Seth! I particularly like the Tierney site. Really shows off the logo and the portfolio.

On the second site, I feel like I'm seeing Arial and not Helvetica Neue, but that may be because I'm old and tired and can't tell the difference. No, wait - it's because I don't have Helvetica Neue on my computer, I guess. I think I might use more Oswald across the site, like for the post titles. It feels like the Arial is very prominent in comparison to the Oswald.

Hi Dorian, thanks for the feedback. For whatever reason, the client was quite content as is. But I you might be right, using a little more Oswald could help it stand out a bit.

I'm just part of the Oswald lobby - don't mind me.
