    I would like to cut down on the clutter in my sidebar area. I am using the Crystal theme and would like to put a rotating 120X600, 100X300 etc, banner in the sidebar area to rotate 2-3 different banners changing every few seconds.

    If possible, I would like to do it with a script in the text area instead of a plugin.

    While I don't recommend manually inserted scripts (conflicts can and will arise) check out Dynamic Drive, they have a bunch of scripts you can use that allow for all kinds of dynamic extras.
