September 16, 2013 at 5:53 pm in reply to: Minimum Pro: Replace front page post grid with page content? #62905RobinMemberIf I understand your question, you should be able to accomplish a specific post/page content and still keep your widgets by going into Dashboard Settings -- Reading and select the page or post you want as a static page. Then use the widgets as you normally would.
You do not have to fiddle with the functions.php in order do this.

September 14, 2013 at 7:38 am in reply to: How to customize text in Genesis Responsive Slider #62496RobinMemberHave you considered creating customized text over your image and then upload it as your featured image for the post/page? Then, simply deactivate the display excerpt and title settings in the slider. This way, you can be as creative and commercial with your text as you like.
Here is a site also using Executive that demonstrates what I'm describing.

RobinMember@keesjan: Thanks for asking because I have not used rich snippets for html5 site yet.. so I did some digging. You may find these posts helpful as I did. http://ryanyu.me/seo/rich-snippets-breadcrumbs-complete-guide/

@worldviewpr: by checking the box next to archives in Genesis settings, breadcrumbs will be enabled on category pages. For different info concerning breadcrumbs, check out http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/breadcrumbs/

September 12, 2013 at 8:30 pm in reply to: Minimum Pro – Adding Section Divider On Front Page? #62174RobinMemberThese are the lines in the demo's css that create that divider:
/* Site Containers --------------------------------------------- */ .home-featured { border-bottom: 5px solid #f5f5f5; margin-bottom: 60px; margin-bottom: 6rem; padding: 40px 0; padding: 4rem 0; }
Hope that points you in a direction.

RobinMemberYou need to change the opacity value of 1 to something less.
Generally speaking, using a value of .5 gives a good level of opacity.
Hope that helps a bit

RobinMemberOh, in that case, just do a find in your CSS for all instances of the current red color hex code and replace with the hex color you want. On a pc, clicking control and f brings up the find function.

RobinMemberOn quick glance, I would say go back and make sure you have your code correct in your functions.php because the line you posted above that reads:
} // End bhww_filter_genesis_seo_site_title
should be in your functions.php not in the style css.
If you have further questions about the code, John at BlackHillsWebWorks is very responsive at troubleshooting issues that people have using his tutorial.

RobinMemberThis reply has been marked as private.September 10, 2013 at 12:30 am in reply to: Modern Portfolio – adding additional widget area above about #61623RobinMemberHey Steve, your site looks great! You need to add the following code to your home.php in the section that starts with function mp_homepage_widgets. Since you want the slider to go before the about section, place the code before the one labeled 'about'.
genesis_widget_area( 'slider', array( 'before' => '<div id="slider"><div class="wrap">', 'after' => '</div></div>', ) );
Hope that helps a bit.

RobinMemberYour images are huge because you're linking to images that measure 1600x1600. You need to resize and link to featured images that measure the same size as they appear on your home page..more like thumbnail size 150x150 or 160x160.
On your phone, the images will not be rendered in a horizontal row, they will show up in a vertical column because of Agency theme responsiveness.

RobinMemberHi Magz,
Although this can be done by registering a new widget, I think the easiest way to do this without touching your functions and home php is to:
1. Change the width of the home left widget to around 900px in your css.
2. Use column classes with 5 columns to set up your content in a text widget.
3. Link your images to whatever page you choose.
Hope that helps a bit

RobinMemberI understand.
If you follow the directions provided above and simply tweak the CSS, it will work and keep responsiveness.
I just explained what I WOULD do.
Good Luck to you.
