Have you checked the permissions for the subfolders (the folders within the uploads folder) and the image files themselves? If the uploads folder, subfolder and all individual image files have the correct permission but still aren't working properly, ask your web host to look into it. This problem almost all ways turns out to be a permissions issue.
November 17, 2014 at 8:06 am in reply to: How do I stop scroll and disappearing Nav in Agency Pro Theme #131832Pixel FrauMemberIf you use the Custom Menu widget for the navigation in the Header Right widget area (rather than assigning it to the Primary Navigation spot as it is now), it will be fixed to the top of the page along with your logo.
The fading/opacity for the Home - Top widget area is controlled by Javascript. You can adjust the opacity in /js/home.js. If you don't want the fading effect at all, you can comment out the enqueue scripts code in front-page.php.
Pixel FrauMemberHi Gordy. This is why I asked "Do you mean the comments link in the entry header?". The comments link you're referring to is not in the entry header, but is a link to your comments RSS feed.
I'd recommend contacting StudioPress for assistance with the old version of Streamline.
Pixel FrauMemberHi Gordy. You didn't mention that you were using the Simple Edits plugin. If so, you can change the code there. Otherwise, place the code at the bottom of your functions.php file.
Pixel FrauMemberBelow is the code to customize the entry header on your site:
//* Customize the entry meta in the entry header (requires HTML5 theme support) add_filter( 'genesis_post_info', 'sp_post_info_filter' ); function sp_post_info_filter($post_info) { $post_info = '[post_date] by [post_author_posts_link] [post_comments] [post_edit]'; return $post_info; }
Remove [post_comments] to remove the comments link in the entry header.
Pixel FrauMemberIt looks like you've taken the title area out of the actual header. So right now you've got the title area on top, the header underneath (empty section), followed by the nav bar. If you put the title area back within the header, it should eliminate the problem.
Pixel FrauMemberAh yes, didn't see that at first. It looks like something's wonky with the 2nd featured post widget. The black background in the 1st featured post widget is actually the background for the 2nd featured post widget title.
I've set up this theme several times with no issue, so I don't think it's the theme itself. Have you tried deleting those widgets and re-adding them? Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if there's a plugin conflict?
September 28, 2014 at 10:09 am in reply to: Text color/header background on shop themes page #126060Pixel FrauMemberHi Robert. Yes, it is very low contrast. If you hover over a theme thumbnail, the name should appear in white on a dark background. Much easier to read. Hope that helps.
Pixel FrauMemberThe demo only displays 1 post in the Home Top widget area. It looks like you've set it to display 2. Does it display correctly if you change that to display only 1 post?
September 26, 2014 at 12:32 pm in reply to: How to hide some content and add "Read more" on a post page #125849Pixel FrauMemberGo to Genesis > Theme Settings. Find the Content Archives section. Select "Display post content". Enter the number of characters you want to display. Then click "Save Settings".
Pixel FrauMemberAkismet isn't for security. It's for comment spam prevention. I've found it to be very effective.
Pixel FrauMemberDo you mean the comments link in the entry header? If so, you can use this code snippet to customize the entry header.
September 26, 2014 at 12:23 pm in reply to: Help Aligning Text in Featured Post Circles – Swank Theme #125846Pixel FrauMemberIt's not aligning because that widget has a different class that isn't styled in the theme.
change:
Featured Circles --------------------------------------------- */ .featured-circles .featured-content .entry { margin-bottom: 0; padding: 0; }
to:
Featured Circles --------------------------------------------- */ .featured-circles .featured-content .entry, .featured-circles .featuredpostcategory .entry { margin-bottom: 0; padding: 0; }

Pixel FrauMemberHave you also enqueued/imported the font into the theme? You need to do that as well as changing the CSS. Just changing the CSS alone won't work. The browser doesn't know what the Stencil font is, so it's falling back on the next font in the font family (sans-serif).
Is Stencil a Google font? Your theme already enqueues Google fonts, so the easiest change would be to add another Google font.
Pixel FrauMemberI don't see a gray border. Do you mean the background color? If so, you'll want to change the body background color.
body { background-color: #333; color: #666; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-size: 1.6rem; font-weight: 300; line-height: 1.625; }
Change the background color from #333 to #f0ead6.
Pixel FrauMemberYou can find this around line 1214 in your stylesheet.
.genesis-nav-menu > li:hover .sub-menu a, .genesis-nav-menu .sub-menu a { background-color: #fafafa; color: #a5a5a3; font-size: 14px; padding: 16px 24px; position: relative; width: 184px; }
Pixel FrauMemberHi Mike. Change the Reading settings back to the default and remove all widgets from the homepage widget areas. The blog should then automatically appear as the homepage.
Pixel FrauMemberHi Erlinda. You have several options.
Text Widget
You would need to manually create the links with HTML.Featured Page
Add a Featured Page widget for each of the pages. You can choose how it's displayed in the widget settings.Custom Menu
Create a new menu in Appearance > Menus. Then add a Custom Menu widget to the footer and select the new menu you created. -
