MarcyParticipant
I see the image on the left now, so the widget must have been it. Be sure to follow the instructions that are in your StudioPress Downloads area for the Agent Press theme setup. That home page os pretty complex.

MarcyParticipantFor the layout:
In front-page.php at lines 44-45
//* Force full width content layout
add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_full_width_content' );Add // in front of line 45, so it looks like this:
//* Force full width content layout
// add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_full_width_content' );That will comment out forcing the full-width layout, but it may break. I don't have this theme set up to check what happens.
For the footer widgets, in functions.php, find lines 54-55:
//* Add support for 3-column footer widgets
add_theme_support( 'genesis-footer-widgets', 3 );In line 55 change the 3 to a 1, so it looks like:
//* Add support for 3-column footer widgets
add_theme_support( 'genesis-footer-widgets', 1 );Then in style.css, you will need to find:
.footer-widgets-1,
.footer-widgets-2,
.footer-widgets-3 {
width: 340px;
}Comment that section out with /* */ and add a new section so it looks like:
/*.footer-widgets-1,
.footer-widgets-2,
.footer-widgets-3 {
width: 340px;
}*/.footer-widgets-1 {
width: 100%;
}

MarcyParticipantIt looks to me like that's using the Genesis Featured Posts widget.
Open the widget under Appearance > Widgets. It's in the Featured Bottom Left section.
In the left side of the Genesis Featured Widget at the bottom is the section on the Featured image.
Where it says, "Image Alignment" on the drop down, choose Left. And then save it.
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantFind this section in your style.css:
button,
input[type="button"],
input[type="submit"],
.btn {
background-color: #08A2AC;
border: medium none;
box-shadow: none;
cursor: pointer;
margin-right: 30px;
margin-top: 10px;
padding: 1rem 1.5rem;
width: auto;
}Add this line to it. Be sure to keep the "-" in front. This will fix it for iPhone and iPad.
-webkit-appearance: none;so it looks like
button,
input[type="button"],
input[type="submit"],
.btn {
-webkit-appearance: none;
background-color: #08A2AC;
border: medium none;
box-shadow: none;
cursor: pointer;
margin-right: 30px;
margin-top: 10px;
padding: 1rem 1.5rem;
width: auto;
}

MarcyParticipantCan you just change the "Number of Posts to Show:" in the Genesis Featured Posts widget for the Portfolio? The demo has 6, but yours must be 15. Changing the number to 18 should add a 6th row.

September 17, 2013 at 6:12 pm in reply to: Simple Social Icons Two Instances On One Page Format Differently #63076MarcyParticipantThe top simple social icons are picking up the styles from the theme. The bottom ones are styled only in the widget.
You don't say which you want, but I'm going to assume you want them all small.You need to find this section in style.css:
.home-featured .simple-social-icons ul li a {
padding: 4rem !important;
}Make the padding line be:
padding: 6px !important;You probably don't need !important. But the 6px size is what you have on the bottom. You can make them a little larger by making the number larger, up to 16px still keeps a circle.

MarcyParticipantOK. That's great! I thought you wanted the home page widgets to fit like the other pages. Yes, to go the other way, you can change your widths. I'm glad it's working the way you want.

MarcyParticipantYou are using the Executive theme. And there is an extra </div> in your home.php right before the line
<div id="footer-widgets" class="footer-widgets">
instead of at the end.In the original Executive home page, everything is as it should be.
So did you make any edits to home.php?
Did you remove this section from home.php
genesis_widget_area( 'home-top', array(
'before' => '<div class="home-top widget-area">',
) );Or do you just not have a widget in that area?
There is an extra </div> there.

MarcyParticipantCan you please tell me which theme you are using? Or post the code from your home.php? I can't tell you how to fix it without seeing the code.
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantI see the #footer-widgets and the #footer outside the .wrap on your home page and all the other pages I looked at. That's where it should be.
OK. I see, you mean #wrap, not .wrap.
It is probably the way the home.php is coded. Can you post the code for your home.php?(Your site is lovely! 🙂

MarcyParticipantAll the sample posts are showing for me on the link you posted. You could try to clear your browser cache. Closing and opening usually does it, or you could look here: http://kb.iu.edu/data/ahic.html

MarcyParticipantAre you using a plugin to create your custom post type? Or are you creating it yourself in your functions.php?
What do you want in your archive page? Just a list of custom post types?

September 2, 2013 at 8:44 pm in reply to: Flexible social sharing plugin that plays nice with genesis? #60333MarcyParticipantI think Social Sharing Toolkit is either no longer being developed or developed by someone new.
Two that DO work well for sharing are:
Jetpack Sharing; you can also use Slim Jetpack Sharing, if you want less, and no connection to WordPress.com
http://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack/
http://wordpress.org/plugins/slimjetpack/Floating Social Bar which floats at the top or can be fixed at the top or bottom of posts
http://wordpress.org/plugins/floating-social-bar/These also work wekk with Simple Social Icons.

MarcyParticipantMarcyParticipant@John That's a great tutorial post! It's hard to tell just what code is used without a peek at it. 🙂
Thanks for the peek.
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantI'm glad it's helping. I forgot to add that the method I used for creating the custom post type uses get_post_meta to retrieve the custom fields. Some plugins/methods use the_field or get_the_field.
