MarcyParticipant
That is not the best plan, if you don't have coding skills.
To code it yourself, you have to create the form, but you also have to create some code that will actually "send/email" the form. That is the difficult part.
The contact form plugins do just exactly this.If you use Jetpack, they have the easiest contact form module.
If you don't use Jetpack, you can search the WordPress plugins to find one that has a lot of users and good reviews.

MarcyParticipantMarcyParticipantThere is no header image at all when I look at your website. Clear your browser cache to see.
It's probably best if you upload/add another header image.

MarcyParticipantMarcyParticipantWell, I guess I just assumed that you customized your theme. 🙂
If you didn't you should be able to download and install.
All the best with it!

MarcyParticipantWhen you enqueue the scripts in your function.php, you would leave out the http: part and just start with //
Here's an example for Google fonts:
//* Enqueue scripts add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'child_enqueue_scripts' ); function chile_enqueue_scripts() { wp_enqueue_style( 'google-font-lato', '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lato:300,700', array(), CHILD_THEME_VERSION ); }
Do you see that the fonts.gooleapis.com... URL begins with // and leaves off the http: part?
The cycle script is in a plugin though, and so you may need to do something else with that. You could ask the plugin dev to use a relative link for the script.
You could also "dequeue" the original plugin script, and then enqueue it again with the relative URL in your functions.php
The CODEX doesn't have much on dequeue.
http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_dequeue_script
You may be able to find a better example. You would need to look in the plugin files to see how that script is added.

MarcyParticipantYou just need to add a top margin (or padding) to what you already added.
Find this in your style.css
.header-image .title-area, .header-image .site-title, .header-image .site-title a { float: left; margin: 0; max-width: 260px; min-height: 100px; padding: 0; width: 100%; }
You want to change margin: 0; to
margin: 10px 0 0 0;
OR
padding: 0; to
padding: 10px 0 0 0;You can make the 10px larger if you need more space.
I would change the margin.
Then you want to see if you need to remove it in your @media sections.

September 18, 2014 at 3:57 pm in reply to: Can you assign different header images to different pages? #124962MarcyParticipantThis plugin is supposed to do that
https://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-custom-headers/You can also look at Brad Dalton's site. Here's one
http://wpsites.net/wordpress-tips/featured-images-how-to-display-unique-header-images-on-different-posts-pages/And Sridhar Katakam's site. Sridhar may have a better one too.

MarcyParticipantYou would need to post a link to your website page, so someone can look at your CSS.
No one can tell you anything without seeing what you really have already.

MarcyParticipantYou can download the latest Enterprise Pro from your MyStudioPress; it does have the new mobile menu.
Then you would need to copy/change these sections:
1. Add the /js folder to your themes folder with ftp
2. Add the enqueue line for the responsive-menu.js to your functions.php
3. Replace all the menu sections in your style.css.That works pretty well.
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantI thought Ambiance Pro used the same menu, but it's still different.
Do you have Ambiance Pro? If so, you can copy the menu code sections from Ambiance /js, style.css, and functions.php to your Parallax Pro.
If you don't have Ambiance, and you just want the responsive menu icon to always be in Parallax Pro no matter what the screen size, then the easy method is to find all the menu sections in the Parallax
@media only screen and (max-width: 960px) {
and
@media only screen and (max-width: 768px) {
and move them up just below the
/* Responsive Menu
--------------------------------------------- */
section.
Be sure to keep all the code in the same order. That will get you started.
The menu will still be a drop down.
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantWhen did you download Parallax Pro? The last one was v.1.2.1 Updated: 8/29/14
The responsive menus have been added to most of the Pro themes now. The themes are automatically updated to avoid overwriting your changes, but you can download the latest Parallax Pro and use that menu.
If you didn't customize much, you can start with the newest PP.
Just upload it via FTP overwriting your current them, and then just add your customizations back in.
OR
You can copy / do the following from the latest PP:
1. upload the new /wp-content/themes/parallax-pro/js folder; it has responsive-menu.js
2. edit functions.php to add the enqueue responsive-menu.js line
3. edit style.css to add all the menu lines from the latest PP
4. Add in any customizations you made to your menu.While the second has more steps, it only involves finding your changes to the menu and not the entire theme.

September 17, 2014 at 10:19 am in reply to: How To Make Slider Text Responsive In Executive Pro #124769MarcyParticipantNo, the text doesn't adjust automatically without some other changes.
You need to find these sections which adjust the font size and add them to your @media sections with smaller font-size..content .genesis_responsive_slider h2, .content .genesis_responsive_slider h2 a { color: #fff; font-size: 45px; font-weight: 700; text-transform: uppercase; } .content .genesis_responsive_slider p { color: #fff; font-size: 25px; }
So maybe you would add this to
@media only screen and (max-width: 1023px) { .content .genesis_responsive_slider h2, .content .genesis_responsive_slider h2 a { font-size: 30px; } .content .genesis_responsive_slider p { font-size: 16px; } }
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantMarcyParticipantFind this section up in the top navigation section:
#responsive-menu-icon::before { -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; color: #fff; content: "\f333"; font: normal 20px/1 'dashicons'; line-height: 1; margin: 0 auto; speak: none; text-transform: none; }
Do you see
color: #fff;
?
That makes your responsive menu icon white, so you can't see it on the white background.Change it to
color: #000;
for black orcolor: #005592;
for your blue color.

MarcyParticipantThis is probably a Woocommerce issue and not Genesis.
Look in Woocommerce > Settings > Checkout tab and then Checkout Pages. You many need to reset something there. Make sure, if you use a custom URL, that it matches there.

MarcyParticipantFor your sidebar widgets, you would look in your style.css and find this:
.sidebar .widget { border: 1px solid #eeeee8; margin-bottom: 22px; padding: 32px; text-align: center; }
Then adjust the padding, making it smaller.
For your content, if you want to change the front page posts, you would find this in your style.css
.lifestyle-pro-home .featured-content .entry { margin-bottom: 20px; padding-bottom: 20px; }
Change the padding or margin.
If you mean your blog page, then find this in your style.css
.content .entry { border: 1px solid #eeeee8; margin-bottom: 32px; padding: 32px; }
Again change the margin-bottom or padding to your liking.
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantMarcyParticipantIt's there; it's just not white. 🙂
Find this code:
.responsive-menu-icon::before { content: "\f333"; display: inline-block; font: normal 20px/1 'dashicons'; margin: 0 auto; padding: 10px; }
and add
color: #fff;
to it.

September 13, 2014 at 6:09 pm in reply to: New to community forum. Question re: Education Pro Homepage #124286MarcyParticipantThe easiest method to change the number of posts on your home page to 3 is from your WordPress Dashboard.
Click on Settings > Reading.
Then change
Blog pages show at most:
from 10 to 3.Changing the theme width is a separate issue than the home page, and it's best if you start a new forum thread on it.
