You want to find this section around line 747 in style.css:
a.alignright, img.alignright, .wp-caption.alignright { margin: 0 0 24px 24px; }
And below it add:
.archive img.entry-image.alignright, .blog img.entry-image.alignright { margin: 0 auto 24px; float: none; display: block; }
There may be other pages that you will need to find the class of besides .blog and .archive.
And there are other ways to do this; this is just the easiest, I think.

MarcyParticipantDo you have a page link? Or at least a screen shot of your "View Source" showing the body class to see what's actually showing there.
Did you add the custom body class with a function? Or in the Layout Settings section below your post editor?
PS. You're not dumb. 🙂

MarcyParticipantYou should be able to just enqueue it in your functions.php.
Find the section that enqueues the Google fonts, and add this line
//Add datepicker translation js wp_enqueue_script( 'translate_datepicker_js', '//jquery-ui.googlecode.com/svn/tags/latest/ui/i18n/jquery.ui.datepicker-nl.js' );
so it looks like:
//* Enqueue Droid Sans and Roboto Slab Google fonts add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'lifestyle_google_fonts' ); function lifestyle_google_fonts() { wp_enqueue_style( 'google-fonts', '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Droid+Sans:400,700|Roboto+Slab:400,300,700', array(), CHILD_THEME_VERSION ); //Add datepicker translation js wp_enqueue_script( 'translate_datepicker_js', '//jquery-ui.googlecode.com/svn/tags/latest/ui/i18n/jquery.ui.datepicker-nl.js' ); }
The "translate_datepicker_js" is just a tag (name), I gave it; you can use anything. And then it just enqueues the js file that you listed.
I have not tested to see if this works or not. This is just how to add a jQuery script to your theme.

MarcyParticipantFor before, you would need to use
#enews-ext-2:before
instead of
.sidebar .enews-widget:before
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantYou can also add the image directly to the enews widget and not use background image.
Use this in the "Text before Form"<img src="/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/leadgenforsheeroh.jpg"> Join Work Online Kenya by submitting your details to receive Updates.
If you want it before the widget title, then don't use a widget title and use this instead:
<img src="/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/leadgenforsheeroh.jpg"> <h4 class="widget-title widgettitle">SUBSCRIBE FOR UPDATES</h4> Join Work Online Kenya by submitting your details to receive Updates.
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantTry this
.sidebar .enews-widget:before {
-moz-box-shadow: 0 0 5px #999;
-webkit-box-shadow: 0 0 5px #999;
background: #333;
background-image: url(/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/leadgenforsheeroh.jpg);
background-position: contain;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
border: 3px solid #fff;
border-radius: 10px;
box-shadow: 0 0 5px #999;
display: block;
margin: 0 auto 20px auto;
width: 100%;
min-height: 370px;
}
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantThere is no image code on your .enews widget on that page.
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantCan you post a link to your site, so we can how it's working?
I would try using : before, something like this, but I would also add a height: for the image or min-height:
.sidebar .enews-widget:before { background: #333; background-image: url(/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/image-back.jpg); background-position: center, top; background-repeat: no-repeat; border: 3px solid #fff; border-radius: 10px; box-shadow: 0 0 5px #999; margin-top: 40px; padding: 25px; width: 100%; }
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantGo to Genesis > Theme Settings. It should be in the Navigation section under Primary Navigation Extras.
Choose None instead.
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantFirst of all to have the post appear, you need to be sure this is added to your functions.php; I added to the very bottom.
//* Add support for post formats add_theme_support( 'post-formats', array( 'aside', 'audio', 'chat', 'gallery', 'image', 'link', 'quote', 'status', 'video' ) ); //* Add support for post format images add_theme_support( 'genesis-post-format-images' );
Next when you download the post format icons, the folder name needs to be changed. The folder should be named "post-formats", and not "post-format-icons" per the .zip file.
So if you use FTP to upload the icons, it should look like this:
/wp-content/themes/wintersong-pro/images/post-formats/Then you will see the posts and the icons will be just above the post title.
Note that you will need to add CSS to position the icons where you want them.
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantYou can find this line in style.css
.wrap { margin: 0 auto; max-width: 1140px; }
and change the max-width to a smaller number than 1140px, maybe 960px or smaller.
If that doesn't do what you want, please post a link to your site.

May 21, 2015 at 9:25 pm in reply to: Altitude Theme: How to delet the dimmer effect on fronted images? #153197MarcyParticipantIn style.css about line 1216, there is this code:
.image-section { background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, rgba(0,0,0,0.2) 0%, rgba(0,0,0,0.5) 30%, rgba(0,0,0,0.8) 80%, rgba(0,0,0,0.9) 100%); background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, color-stop(0%,rgba(0,0,0,0.2)), color-stop(30%,rgba(0,0,0,0.5)), color-stop(80%,rgba(0,0,0,0.8)), color-stop(100%,rgba(0,0,0,0.9))); background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, rgba(0,0,0,0.2) 0%,rgba(0,0,0,0.5) 30%,rgba(0,0,0,0.8) 80%,rgba(0,0,0,0.9) 100%); background: -o-linear-gradient(top, rgba(0,0,0,0.2) 0%,rgba(0,0,0,0.5) 30%,rgba(0,0,0,0.8) 80%,rgba(0,0,0,0.9) 100%); background: -ms-linear-gradient(top, rgba(0,0,0,0.2) 0%,rgba(0,0,0,0.5) 30%,rgba(0,0,0,0.8) 80%,rgba(0,0,0,0.9) 100%); background: linear-gradient(to bottom, rgba(0,0,0,0.2) 0%,rgba(0,0,0,0.5) 30%,rgba(0,0,0,0.8) 80%,rgba(0,0,0,0.9) 100%); filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient( startColorstr='#33000000', endColorstr='#e6000000',GradientType=0 ); display: table; overflow: hidden; table-layout: fixed; width: 100%; }
Just remove all the background and filter lines, so you only have:
.image-section { display: table; overflow: hidden; table-layout: fixed; width: 100%; }
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantAdd it to this section
@media only screen and (max-width: 960px) {@media only screen and (max-width: 960px) { .front-page-4 .featured-content .entry { width: 100%; margin: 10px 0 28px; } }
If you need it sooner, use
@media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) {
instead
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantThis will give you a bit more "breathing room".
.front-page-4 .featured-content .entry { width: 29.333333%; margin: 10px 2% 28px; float: left; display: inline-block; }
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantYes. It needs to be this:
.front-page-4 .featured-content .entry { display: inline-block; float: left; vertical-align: top; width: 31.333333%; margin: 10px 1% 28px; }
The vertical-align: top is only needed if it doesn't line up the way you want; you could also use bottom, instead of top.
And leaving out the other two lines was a total "space" on my part.

MarcyParticipantMarcyParticipantFor eleven40 pro find and comment out this in functions.php
/* //* Reposition the site description remove_action( 'genesis_site_description', 'genesis_seo_site_description' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_content_sidebar_wrap', 'genesis_seo_site_description' ); */
Is that what you want?
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantYou can try this:
.front-page-4 .featured-content .entry { width: 31.333333%; margin: 10px 1% 28px; }
Try that to see if that's better for you.
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantThat page title is added in functions.php. Just add /* */ around that section, like this:
/** Add the page title section */ /* add_action( 'genesis_before_content_sidebar_wrap', 'eleven40_page_title' ); function eleven40_page_title() { genesis_widget_area( 'page-title', array( 'before' => '<div class="page-title widget-area">', ) ); } */
That will remove it from everywhere in eleven40 (It's a bit different in eleven40 pro)
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantThe parent/child relationship changed the original page permalink and so it's redirecting from the old permalink to the new one.
But I remembered something else. You can add categories to pages with this plugin
Then to have them display at the bottom of your pages you need to add this to your functions.php
//* Customize the entry meta in the entry footer (requires HTML5 theme support) add_action('genesis_entry_footer', 'custom_page_post_meta'); function custom_page_post_meta() { if ( 'page' === get_post_type() ) { $cats = get_the_category_list( $before = '', $sep = ', ', $after = '', $post_id ); $tags = get_the_tag_list( $before = '', $sep = ', ', $after = '', $post_id ); if ( $cats || $tags ) { echo '<footer class="entry-footer"><p class="entry-meta">'; if ($cats) { echo '<span class="entry-categories">Filed Under: ' . get_the_category_list( ', ', $post_id ) . '</span>'; } if ($tags) { echo '<span class="entry-tags">Tagged With: ' . $tags . '</span>'; } echo '</p></footer>'; } }
