MaryCParticipant
I've got a site using parallax pro. And I'm getting low pagespeed scores. I've fixed images - that much I understand. But I'm not at all sure how to deal with the rest:
Possible Optimizations
Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold contentLeverage browser caching
Enable compression
Reduce server response time
Minify JavaScript
Minify CSS
***
I haven't done anything fancy to the basic theme - just filled in copy and images (which are now compressed). Unfortunately, I'm lost on how to implement what Google suggests. Any thoughts?MaryCParticipantThank you, Brad! That is so direct and clear. Can't tell you how wonderful it is to have that so simply spelled out.
One of the reasons I picked a Studiopress theme was the built-in smarts. So I was surprised to start reading that things baked in were somehow problematic. Your response reassured me they weren't.
Thank you!
MaryCParticipantNevermind! I guessed and got it right: widget-text
Thank you!
MaryCParticipantJulia, thank you so much! I still hold my breath every time I try something. You made that very easy. I really appreciate it.
Is there a way to leave the title in black, and have the second line in white? (Or would that just look wrong?)
Right now, they're changed to both white, which is miles better for "How can I help you?" But a little tricky for the "Welcome to Hands-On Fundraising" part.

And yes, I think we did run into each other on the Twitter... The whole NP community there is amazing. So many great people!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
MaryCParticipantThank you, Sam! Wonderful!
MaryCParticipantI think I've found it. But it's showing in black with the parallax blue hover. Since the footer is black, it should be white with blue on the hover. I can't seem to find where to fix that in the css.
Granted, I'm really new at this, but doesn't this look like it should be white?
.site-footer a,
.site-footer p {
color: #fff;
}MaryCParticipantNo, I ended up deleting everything and starting over. After days of questions and no answer, someone suggested it might be a plugin issue. Too late for me, but maybe something for you to try?
MaryCParticipantAnd when I switched media to grid view, it all disappeared. Now I can't access media, either. What's going on?
MaryCParticipantThanks, Lauren.
MaryCParticipantI feel foolish.
Thanks, Lauren. That leads to my next issue which is I cannot access the customizer (where I'd attached the images to begin with). Is there a way around that?
Once I uploaded to a host, suddenly the customizer doesn't work. ?

Anyway, thank you for the suggestion!
