    I was fine with it while working on a local server. Once I moved to a hosted site, the customizer will not open.

    Help?

    I'm guessing this is connected to the issues I'm having with background images and logo not showing on my homepage now.

    And when I switched media to grid view, it all disappeared. Now I can't access media, either. What's going on?

    No, I ended up deleting everything and starting over. After days of questions and no answer, someone suggested it might be a plugin issue. Too late for me, but maybe something for you to try?
