I'm interested in buying another theme but I checked the pagespeed scores on the demo page and they are pretty low. Any way around it? I bought Daily Dish a while ago but if I remember right, this issue wasn't there when I checked before.

    Any tips?

Hi Luke, do you already have a website?

The page scores on a demo shouldn't be taken into account, as its your own servers that the site will be hosted on.

You could try Googles Page Speed Insights tool to help you analyze any potential issues, here's the url:

By the time you optimize the images, use only the plugins you need, and then add the site to a CDN, you'll be mostly there.

I've got a site using parallax pro. And I'm getting low pagespeed scores. I've fixed images - that much I understand. But I'm not at all sure how to deal with the rest:

    Possible Optimizations
Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content

    Leverage browser caching

    Enable compression

    Reduce server response time

    Minify JavaScript

    Minify CSS

I haven't done anything fancy to the basic theme - just filled in copy and images (which are now compressed). Unfortunately, I'm lost on how to implement what Google suggests. Any thoughts?

If you install this plugin: https://wp-rocket.me/ (it addresses all of the above)

And set it up correctly, you should see you page speed score in 85-95 ballpark 🙂
