Well... after about 6hrs working on this, I cave. I can't fight this anymore. If I limit the number of words, the amount of content above the <more>, it works as advertised. So, I'm comforting to the template, instead of the other way around (so I can move forward and finish my site).
LoveFlyingMemberHere's something that I'm observing...
In the demo site here...
http://my.studiopress.com/themes/centric/#demo-fullThe images for those widgets go ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM of the widget. Mine DON'T.
I think THERE lies a clue. And since my images DON'T GET RESIZED to fit all the way to the bottom, the text wraps UNDER the image.
hmmm....
Any ideas?
LoveFlyingMemberThe -148px is default from SP. So, it should be right since I didn't tinker with that setting.
I did try your suggestion, and got limited results. It fixed the issue for FULL width screen (wider than 1350px). BUT as I shrunk the browser, from about 1250px to 1350px wide, your suggestion does not work. I even went as far as setting margin-bottom to -1px
<scratches head>
I'll leave it at -1px for a few hours so you can see (if you have a chance).
LoveFlyingMemberThanks!!
LoveFlyingMemberTo clarify, it doesn't have to be a widget. I would be OK with just hand coding something in the right place.
LoveFlyingMemberWhat I'm looking for is to insert a text widget to the RIGHT of the menu, on the same level. So the header is like this....
[LOGO][ menu menu menu menu][ text widget]
LoveFlyingMemberOops... turns out I didn't have the child template activated. I activated, then re-imported. That took care of the "portfolio" errors. Still have the "media" errors.
Looking at @Susan suggestion.... these are from the demo XML. Not from another of my websites.
Also, looking at the XML code, I can't seem to find any references to media files with those names. I can find
-Titles
-alt=
-post_name
...but nothing that says "media" to me. -
