The query_args works as a custom field in a blog page template. If you've already modified the home.php then it's hard to know what you need to do to show only one category without seeing that code. You can post it here (and a link to your site would probably help, too, but to see what is going on with the php, we need to see it).

RobinMemberYou can control the padding on the search button in line 1181.
To increase the space between the two widgets, try adding this:
#header .widget-wrap {
margin: 0 0 20px 0;
}
Also, check what you changed on line 210, as you have four numbers for the padding so it looks like it's invalidating all of it.

RobinMemberStarting at line 210 in your style.css, you currently have:
#header .widget-area {
float: right;
padding: 40px 0 0;
width: 600px;
}
If you change the padding to20px 0 0;
it will move the search bar and menu below it up.Just looked at the responsiveness as well, and on line 1687 you have a padding of 400px, which does crazy things when the screen is small. You might want to change that to 0 or 10 or 20. HTH

RobinMemberGenerally, I use the blog template for the page template, and add a custom field:
Name is query_args
Value is cat=xx (xx being the ID number of your desired category)HTH

RobinMemberIf you change the size of the slider, you need to upload the images again--it generates the size it needs when you upload the photos.

RobinMemberIt's because your first featured post is slightly longer than the others (due to the long title, I think). You can force the height of all of the featured posts to be the same in this section of your style.css starting at line 1331:
#blog .featuredpage .page,
#blog .featuredpost .post {
float: left;
margin: 0 19px 0 0;
overflow: hidden;
width: 300px;
height: 320px;
}
The height line is what I added--if you add that line then they should all fall into the correct place. You could make it taller if you need to as well.

RobinMemberIn your functions.php file, looks like lines 47-48:
/** Add support for 4 footer widgets */
add_theme_support( 'genesis-footer-widgets', 4 );
Change the 4 to 2 or 3 and that will do it. You will also need to go into the stylesheet and change these lines (starting at 1865) to adjust the width of the footer widgets:
.footer-widgets-1 {
float: left;
padding: 0 20px 0 0;
width: 215px;
}.footer-widgets-2 {
float: left;
padding: 0 20px 0 0;
width: 215px;
}.footer-widgets-3 {
float: left;
width: 215px;
}.footer-widgets-4 {
float: right;
width: 215px;
}

RobinMemberIt's not specifically a polls plugin, but forms: Gravity Forms. They have a Polls add on now. It's a fantastic plugin all around, worth the $$.

RobinMemberYour other images are actually 920x300, it looks like. With that slider plugin you need to upload new images if you change the size of the slider.

RobinMemberYou can add a width to this section of code:
.menu-primary a,
.menu-secondary a,
#header .menu a {
color: #666;
display: block;
padding: 15px 20px;
position: relative;
text-decoration: none;
width: 50px;
}
(The 50 was just a number that I threw in there.) Note that this will affect all of the menu links, so if you want it to just affect the header menu, add it to the next section in the style.css instead.

RobinMemberI use BackupBuddy--you can backup your entire staging site and migrate using a script to the live site--it clones everything, from posts and images to plugins, menus, updates links, everything.

RobinMemberFor #1, the "buy this theme" bar is part of StudioPress' demos, not any one theme. Something similar you might be interested in is Brian Gardner's sticky menu tutorial.
For #2, looks like that is a link with a special class:
<a class="aligncenter landing-button" href="#">Click here to sign up!</a>

RobinMemberWhen you post the image in your post or page, make sure that the image doesn't link to anything (when you are picking the size, etc. in the media panel).

RobinMemberYes, I think it's your header. The rest of the site is working responsively. I have not used this plugin, but you might try using Nick the Geek's Genesis Responsive Header plugin. HTH

RobinMemberWell, the image in the slider is 880px wide, but the div is 910. Can you try setting the width of the slider to 910, maybe, and uploading an image that is that size also?
Alternatively, if you can override the meteor styling by adding this to your own style.css:
div.meteor-slides {
margin: 0 auto;
}
then it should center. You might have to add !important to the rule--hard to tell from this end. But that makes the slider center for me at its current width. HTH

RobinMemberCreate them in the menu page as a custom link:
the URL is #
the label is Who We Are, etc.Hope that helps.

RobinMemberIf you haven't made any other changes to the stylesheet, look at the block starting at line 756 in style.css:
h1,
h2,
h2 a,
h2 a:visited {
clear: both;
font-size: 42px;
margin: 0 0 20px;
}
You can change the font-size there from 42, which will affect the h1 tags as well. If you like having them at the size they are, then you will want to separate the h1 from the h2, h2a, h2a:visited. HTH

RobinMemberIsabelle, I think you can do it without messing with php at all, by hiding it with CSS (maybe not the best way to do it but I believe it works). Try this in your style.css:
.page-template-page_blog-php #header .menu,
.page-template-page_blog-php #header {
display: none;
}
Note: this will affect every page that you create with the blog template, not just this one. You could also create a custom body class and set it on this page (in the Genesis page options) and use that instead of the .page-template-page_blog-php.You may not need the first line above--it could be that if you just hide the #header (the entire second line I mean--I looked at hiding the menu first and then the logo), that the menu will also hide, since it's inside the header.

RobinMemberTim, I saw that, too. If I had to guess, I think it's due to the featured widget above--at a certain screen size, the middle title is two lines and the others are just one. If you shrink the window so that they are all two lines, the issue goes away. My guess is that if you remove the featured widget, you wouldn't have the issue.
