    Hi There,
I need help with finding the optimal image size for the responsive slider.
I started out with images that are 960px x 400px with a text overlay, but the client wants the text on the right and image on the left (kind of like http://www.letsmove.gov/).
Using CSS I have created a solid background for the excerpt of 400px high and 40% wide and added a 10px border to the left of the excerpt to separate it from the image.
My next thought was to have an image 60% wide (560px) and 400px high with a 3px white border, however when I upload that image it pushes everything down. Its exactly the same height as the others and same resolution.
I hope this all makes sense. My website is http://test1.moragareid.com/
    Any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks

    Morag

Your other images are actually 920x300, it looks like. With that slider plugin you need to upload new images if you change the size of the slider.

I do the best I can with what I’ve got. (say hey on twitter)

    Duh! Thanks Robin.

Its weird though, when I checked the size in the Media Library it def says 400px.  Oh well.
