I've never worked with SVG either, but your path (in your CSS) looks suspect to me. What is the name of the directory in your theme which is holding your image files? You refer to both an
img
and andimages
directory. In either case, the css shouldn't have the front /... an example from my code has thisbackground: url(images/logo.png) no-repeat left;
where images is a subdirectory in my theme folder.If you use something like Chrome's Developer Tools, you can see if the browser is able to find your image URL, and specifically what it's looking for as the image URL. If it's throwing a 404 for your logo, then the path isn't right. HTH

August 12, 2014 at 10:13 am in reply to: How to Keep Buttons Centered Using Parallax & Custom Columns #118412RobinMemberSorry about that, Patrick--added that here in the forum and didn't check my commas carefully enough.
You've added your customize home section with two buttons to the very end of your stylesheet, so browsers read that and see that's what they're supposed to do--you're actually overriding your own media query rules.
Take the whole block that you've commented and edited, and move it up with the rest of the home page rules, for instance, at line 1142. Then the media queries will override that as they ought. Also, since you're applying the same text-align to everything in the media query, that can be simplified like this:
.home-odd .one-half, .home-even .one-half, .home-odd .one-half.first, .home-even .one-half.first { text-align: center; }
Just a note: I see you've added a fair bit of custom CSS at the end of your stylesheet. If it's truly new styling, and not modifying something that's already in there, you should place it at the end of the main stylesheet section, before the media queries, so that you don't have the above issue, although I do see you've included media queries for your horizontal opt-in in that section, so it shouldn't make a difference for that.
The site looks great, btw.

August 12, 2014 at 6:21 am in reply to: How to Keep Buttons Centered Using Parallax & Custom Columns #118376RobinMemberYou're setting your text alignment directly on your divs as inline styles, which is a problem. Remove that first, and then experiment with something like this:
.home-odd .one-half, .home-even .one-half { text-align: left; } .home-odd .one-half.first .home-even .one-half.first { text-align: right; }
And then change those to
text-align: center;
at the relevant media query. HTH

RobinMemberLook at line 1070 of your style.css ... you are missing a closing brace on your .title-area selector, which is causing your issues. I added it back in using Chrome's Developer Tools and things seemed to settle in correctly.
.title-area { float: left; padding-top: 30px; width: 380px; } /*this closing brace is missing */ .header-image .title-area { padding: 0; }

RobinMemberElaine, you've gotten a good start in moving the CPT registration over, although your
add_post_type_support
is unnecessary, as that could be incorporated into the CPT creation function above. Here's a nifty CPT Generator tool, which is more than you really need, but can help you organize a bit and see where to add support for things like the Genesis Layouts, etc.That first batch of lines looks like it's all affecting output, either the query itself, or the appearance, although you'd need to dig out the actual functions to see what it is they're doing. And if you want to keep what they're doing, you would need to replace the Thesis hooks with either WP ones or Genesis ones, depending on what you're doing. For instance,
thesis_hook_content_box_top
could correspond togenesis_before_entry
, but that's just a guess. Here's a great Genesis hooks reference, if that helps.Hope that helps you get started, at least. Good luck!

RobinMemberDid you copy/paste that content from MS Word? Looking at the source code, there are a lot of inline styles applied to all of your text on that page and it looks like Word. If you copy/paste it to a plain text editor, then recopy/paste it, you should lose the inline styles and have your theme styling applied.
As for the heading, I would try adding a line-height to your entry-title in your stylesheet, and if that doesn't give you enough breathing space below it, add some padding.

RobinMemberI think you will find that once you have content on your site, it will be fine. It's showing up so high on your home page because there is just one line of text in the content, and no sidebar content to push anything down, so the entire site on the home page is really just that high. It's at the bottom of the page on the Contact page, for example.

July 29, 2014 at 2:39 pm in reply to: Large right side margin on mobile and site can float off the screen. #116260RobinMemberNot sure why you're having it, and this may just mask the issue rather than fix it, but you might try adding:
.site-container { overflow: hidden; }
to your stylesheet. I had a similar issue on a site and that fixed it--seems to work when I add it to your site using Chrome Developer Tools. HTH

RobinMemberI just did a quick check with Chrome Developer Tools and looks like if you set a rule like this:
.home .entry { padding: 0; }
...your slider should bump right up on the top. Since it will have the
.home
, it will affect just the home page, not anything else. HTH

RobinMemberDo you need the
overflow:hidden;
on your#inner
? That seems to be the issue--on small screens, it's just making everything disappear. If I uncheck it in Chrome's Developer Tools the site looks fine. HTH

RobinMemberI think you'll be fine if you change the z-index on your
.genesis-nav-menu .sub-menu
(line 987 in style.css) ... it's currently set to 99. I changed it to 999 in Chrome's Developer Tools and it came in front. HTH

July 29, 2014 at 8:23 am in reply to: Mobile client showing blog as homepage (Corporate theme) #116214RobinMemberMy guess is that you're using Jetpack and have its mobile theme turned on, which is overriding your theme's responsive styling and home page widgets on mobile. Turn that off and you should have what you want. HTH

RobinMemberHowever you have your blog page set up, it's set to a full width layout, which removes the sidebar. So check the layout settings on the page (under the page editor; you may have to change your screen options to show it), or you may have a setting in a template file that is forcing the page to be full width. July 20, 2014 at 2:41 pm in reply to: Can't Get Genesis Box To Appear After Post In Parallax Pro #115074RobinMemberParallax is an HTML5 theme, so you need to update the hook to an HTML5 hook.
genesis_after_post_content
is for XHTML.Probably try
genesis_after_entry
, but this Visual Hook Guide is super helpful for figuring out which hook works where.

July 18, 2014 at 10:53 am in reply to: How to use Content Box in various Studiopress themes? #114812RobinMemberIt looks like it's just some custom CSS. If you open the Parallax stylesheet and search through for the content-box styling, you could use it in any theme. Then you'd just have to add the appropriate class to your div that you wanted made into a content box. HTH

RobinMemberI would try changing the width inside of your iframe code to be width="100%" instead of 800. The 800 is pixels and since it's inline, most browsers won't override it with your site's CSS. HTH

RobinMemberThe iframe code for your booking system is overriding/overflowing the styling for your site, so you need to see what the booking system's mobile solution/suggestion is. If your embedded iframe has a set width in pixels, you could try changing that to a percentage, but that wouldn't necessarily help anything inside the iframe. Check with the booking system to see if they have an updated or new solution to make it mobile responsive. HTH

RobinMemberYou'll want to experiment with this using something like Chrome's Developer Tools or Firebug, but try adding a
background-size: 100% !important;
to your.header-image .site-title a
rule at line 1013 of your style.css. You'll need to do some further adjustments to the min-height of the same when you get to a smaller media query, and probably change the background color of the.site-header
as a just in case. HTH

RobinMemberI think the easiest fix would be to bump up the width of the full-width content template, as that's what is really limiting the length of your lines. Try increasing the width of
.full-width-content .content
at line 434 to 760px or 800px from its current 740px. You can preview what that would look like if you use Chrome's Developer Tools or Firebug in Firefox.HTH
