I have a cache plugin, but it has not been activated.
The problem was solved when I closed the website and WP. When in doubt: reboot. That did the trick.
Marcy - Thanks so much for your kind support and brilliant coding solution.

Well, no amount of refreshing my website would correct the misalignment. Looking at my website this morning the alignment issue was resolved. I should have shut down my website and reopened it to solve the problem. Marcy - your brilliant solution worked despite my confusion. Again, thanks so much.

I don't believe this. I added the code and everything looked wonderful. Then I updated to the latest version of Genesis and the correction disappeared and the sidebar is once again mis-aligned. I checked the code in Edit CSS and it was there unchanged.
    How do I correct this?
    Thanks.

Marcy - Thanks so much, Your solution in Edit CSS worked perfectly - right down to the pixel. Your explanation made it simple. Thanks!!!

MoodyRiviera - Thanks so much for all your help. I was able to right click on the file and Zip it and then was able to download to the website. Thanks for your suggestion about FTP installation, but I break out in a flop-sweat everytime I think of doing something like that.
Right now I have a new backstretch image and have found two possible ways to convert the posts on the home page Middle Home to pages. Have my fingers crossed. Again thanks so much!

MoodyRiveria - Thanks for the links. I am following the WPbeginner helps. Got stuck with the upload theme function in WP.

Not able to "choose file" from my download to desktop.

I am also having difficulty opening wpbob. Avast blocked it as unsafe. Maybe the page got hacked.

coralseait - Thanks for this information. Would all of these steps be necessary to upgrade a site from Agency to Agency Pro?
    Thanks

I am having a similar problem with the Agency Child theme for both the responsive slider, the home welcome and the home right, home left and home center widgets. The default is the blog home page for the slider and the home welcome. Somehow the home left, right and center ended up on my about page, Now it has disappeared altogether.

Yes I am using the box next to "forum rules" and I am keeping the searches relevant. I have searched on the forum before, but I have never had this difficulty.

Brad - Thanks for your reply and encouragement.

The difficulty is I am a small business owner and not a web developer, so a lot of the available information (like Set-Up Genesis for Beginners) assumes knowledge that I don't possess.

Right now I am looking at the Import/Export set up for Genesis and I have no idea what a .json file is, where I would find it and how I would work with it. I copied and pasted Google Analytics code but not sure it is the correct code. That's the non-techie level I am at.

I am sure I will succeed in transferring my website to Genesis. It's just the journey to get there that has me confused.

I plan on using the forum for my many questions.

    Thanks, Linda
