    Hi Kristina!

Thanks so much for the compliment 🙂 The plugin has been developed quite a bit further since this original post. Now a multisite version available and a few bugs have been ironed out.

Also, be sure to visit ClipBank to check out the new initiative for listing and downloading Precoded Clips.

Please let me know what you think after you've given it a try!

Post/Page title link is coming up pink. I'm assuming this is the correct colour?

    Hi Raimund24

I just tested this locally and it appears to work fine. Do you have a link I can inspect?

It comes up fine for me. Perhaps, it's a caching issue.

Thanks, Tom! Ha ha, yes I probably was asleep ...

On the commercial side, the plugins will always be free - Basic, Plus and a Multisite version coming soon. ClipBank, however, will include free Clips and also paid Clips (coming soon). The current business plan is for paid Clips to be no more than $10-$15. Quality developers will also be invited to set up their own libraries on ClipBank, which is a great vehicle for marketing and monetising their work, or simply adding value to their existing products (as I've been doing with my Envy themes).

Well, that's the strategic plan anyway 🙂 There has been a good level of interest, so it's full steam ahead at this stage.

Thanks so much for your interest, Tom.

Almazia, I believe the menu issue may now be resolved. Please let me know if not the case.

It was a very quirky bug in that there was no consistency. It would work on some devices and not others, and even show inconsistency on the same device. The problem (if now fixed) came down to an odd known issue on Androids. Apparently, if you have a fixed positioned item and an absolute positioned item on the same page, the z-index of the absolute positioned item can be scuttled. Meaning the menu layer would fall behind the slider. Ah, the frustrations of theme design 🙂

Re the slider. This is actually not a fault, but the intention. When the type is to the right of the slider, you will see the full slider image. However, on smaller screens, only the left hand side of the image appears because a full slider would render that area extremely narrow in height. The design of the slider image should be such that the main image content is constrained to the left 50%. I will likely add a tutorial about 'How to design your slider image' sometime soon.

Thank you Almazia! I appreciate your compliment and also your report on the Android bug. I've been doing some testing and the issue appears to be intermittent. However, I've pin-pointed it to a z-index 'layering' issue on Note 1's. I should have it resolved soon. I'll provide notice on this forum when the fix is made.

    Hi Pavle

2 solutions have now been offered - one from the plugin developer, Jared Atchison - the other from the plugin's distributor, Travis Smith - https://github.com/jaredatch/bbPress-Genesis-Extend/issues/4

    Jared's solution - https://github.com/jaredatch/bbPress-Genesis-Extend/commit/f1af57f16adf405ef25b1a4f3b554cf714508943
    Travis's solution - https://github.com/wpsmith/bbPress-Genesis-Extend/commit/049f982381f22eac7c21a99d8c0cd16399a244a0

I would assume we'll see an update to the plugin appearing soon (inclusive of Jared's changes).

    Hi Pavle

Yes, I agree. It's worth finding out WHY that variable code is causing trouble with the new Genesis version. I've put in support tickets to both StudioPress and also to the author of the plugin. As soon as I get a response, I'll update the forum.

In the meantime, I have opted to restore the previous Genesis version rather than omit the passage of code.

I have narrowed it down to this piece of code on line 254 of the bbpress-genesis-extend.php in the bbPress Genesis Extend plugin.

    $retval = genesis_get_option( 'site_layout', null, false );

If you remove it, the bbPress forum pages are reinstated. I've looked through the Genesis Change Log but can't find the reason why this line of code would present a problem. Perhaps support could weigh in.

I think I've narrowed it down to the bbPress Genesis Extend plugin rather than the bbPress plugin. I'm just trying to identify the problem area. Perhaps, this will at least help to get your forum back online Pavle.

    Hi Dan!

Thanks for taking an interest in ENVY 🙂

If you're participating in the beta, then theme is yours to keep and use. You will not be asked to pay anything once the beta release expires. All I ask is that you report any bugs or issues, and suggest any improvements on the Envy Support Forum. Of course, I'd also love to see your wife's new website when it's completed!! So, please keep in touch!
