@Susan Thanks for that. I might have passed over Pretty Sweet because it presents as quite a 'girly' look (not what I had in mind!) but I guess all of that could be tweaked. I don't know how easily...

I can see that this is a true masonry approach which is the design brief at present.

I'm assuming that there isn't a way to replace logo.png via WordPress admin.

Have examined files in File Manager on the server. Need a bit more help here -- unfamiliar with server side. I have had a look through the theme area (screenshot) and media folder and other within -- not seeing a logo.png file anywhere. Any further guidance?

@ Victor Font Thanks -- I've got it now. I hadn't set the 'featured image' bit. Some of the images were not in WordPress media as I tend to post from an external editor, and I had to reload them. I'm mentioning this because it might help others who post from outside the WP environment.
