    Hi, I am new to StudioPress and Genesis, trying to get up to speed with designing sites in WordPress (I'm really more of a content person).

    I'm using the Genesis basic theme on a couple of sites to get the feel of it, looking to extend this to other WordPress sites using another child theme.

    My question concerns the basic Genesis theme and excerpts. All my posts have images (which are all in place when the full post is displayed). The images (smaller size) show in some of the excerpts, not others. I can't see why this is. What should I look for?

    Excerpts display the featured image. Do all of your posts have featured images?

    @ Victor Font Thanks -- I've got it now. I hadn't set the 'featured image' bit. Some of the images were not in WordPress media as I tend to post from an external editor, and I had to reload them. I'm mentioning this because it might help others who post from outside the WP environment.
