December 16, 2015 at 11:13 am in reply to: Featured page spacing different from featured posts, need a little help #173925HelenMember
Hi Susan, I didn't resolve this, well I found a work around, would be better to have the featured page spacing be like the featured posts spacing, but for the life of me I couldn't get that exactly right. The site is now up --- it's http://gbrss.org/, scroll down just below the big top background image and you will see 6 blocks, my work around is that I made these posts, but then installed a redirect plugin to go to the featured pages that I wanted to link the 6 images to. I'd rather not have those redirects. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I remember I got the spacing workign in some screen widths, but not on all i.e. mobile, tablet, desktop....

November 12, 2015 at 8:33 pm in reply to: How to use Genesis Agent Profiles plugin for staff or team directory #170959HelenMemberAgentPress Listings looks great, but doesn't have a way to have sub groups and would like to have more than two columns... Still looking...
November 10, 2015 at 10:15 am in reply to: How to use Genesis Agent Profiles plugin for staff or team directory #170679HelenMemberThanks Brad, I have asked on Agent Evolution's site... also heard that they may not be supporting this plugin going forward, so am looking for a different solution, I asked if they will be supporting it as well. Thanks for your advice.
October 20, 2015 at 7:30 pm in reply to: Background image in AgentPress Pro not appearing for secondary domain names #168633HelenMemberI do have the Background Manager installed.... or should say I did, I just deactivated it and then under Customize --> Background Image selected one of the images I had sized for that spot and saved and published. (I was using Background Manager like a random image generator so that different images would come up in that spot.) Then went to the site by way of berkshirewaldorf.org and the image appears, so yes the plugin was the problem and Porter you asked was I selecting an image from a menu in the theme options, the Background Manager had replaced that, but without it, that is what I am doing.
Thank you both for helping me think about this and solve this. I do now have another problem and that is to find another solution besides just having one image show up, originally wanted a slideshow there.
Also, detroitwidget, I will look at how domain forwards and aliases are configured, I didn't do that part of the site. I didn't know there were possible negative impacts on SEO... although I have noticed that one of the other domains, maybe I should be saying aliases, shows up as one of the top 5 referrers to the site in Google Analytics. Was just looking at that earlier today and thought what that is funny - it's as if because of several domain names, there is the only word I can think of is dilution (but you see I have to look at this more.)
Thank you, again... if you have any other solutions to the Background Manager plugin, please send along...
Thanks

October 20, 2015 at 5:16 pm in reply to: Background image in AgentPress Pro not appearing for secondary domain names #168623HelenMemberHi Porter, I went to pastebin and pasted the functions.php from the site, it's called
functions.php for background image/domain AgentPress Pro
I have not been able to find out anything about why this is happening, but I will continue to investigate and thank you for taking a look.
October 7, 2015 at 11:46 am in reply to: How to not show the post date for specified categories #167626HelenMemberThanks, Brad! I got this to work in a test setting.
October 1, 2015 at 5:53 pm in reply to: Move Disclaimer Widget to before footer, instead of after footer, in AgentPress #167210HelenMemberHi Ginger, Thanks, it worked and your instructions were so specific. I appreciate knowing also what the meaning of the changes are. Helen
HelenMemberHi, I've got a quick solution for you, put this code in your style.css file, just before the code for Media Queries. It should work!
.entry-title
{
display: none;
}HelenMemberThanks, Marcy, that was a help, am making both modifications.
HelenMemberThanks for all the comments, I'm going to work on the background image, thanks, again!
HelenMemberTook a quick look and see ths in the style sheet:
.site-header .wrap
{
padding-top: 40px;
padding-right: 0px;
padding-bottom: 40px;
padding-left: 0px;
}If you make the 40px of padding for top and bottom 0px then you effectively move the content up...
September 2, 2014 at 3:24 pm in reply to: No longer have Featured Image capability, after upgrading #122491HelenMemberThanks for your reply, Brad... I removed the code, it wasn't working, and I only put it in a few days ago, out of desperation. I also saw that Portfolio Post Type http://wptheming.com/portfolio-post-type/ had an upgrade, did that and now everything's working - I'm able to upload and set a featured image for the new product.
I should always think of plugins and conflicts!
Thanks again for responding!
HelenMemberHi dreamdancer, Did you get this to work, I am trying to do the same thing. Actually, first I used a static page as the Home page and tried using column classes, but for a few reasons much rather have widgets on the Home page, so I'm trying for the second time to do this, and running into same problem you are having.
HelenMemberHi, Did you get the widgets to show up properly on the Home page? I am asking because I need/want to do the same thing and am having the same problem.... Thanks!
June 18, 2013 at 10:58 am in reply to: Love Outreach theme but header is hard to get working correctly. #46566HelenMemberHi, Can not see your site, the temporary link provided is giving a page not found.... I've worked with the Outreach theme on a few different sites now, so thought I may be able to help...
HelenMemberI considered doing exactly that myself recently when I was setting up this site - http://robinleechrealestate.com/ and I remember coming across someone who had done it, in the forum, but now I can't find the thread with that information, sorry!
HelenMemberHi, Am just reading this, don't know if you have taken another direction, but you could possibly try using the AgentPress Listings Plugin with one of the StudioPress themes which is responsive, not with the AgentPress theme. I have not done this, I have one site which now uses the AgetnPress theme - http://www.robinleechrealestate.com/
HelenMemberHi, Just a follow-up, for anyone reading this, I started this thread ----- I ended up using my test WordPress site to try things out, I ended up using the Convert Post Types plugin, in the Woo Estate theme, all properties were set up with custom post types of 'Properties', in Agentpress, it's 'Listings', so what I did was, before switching themes, first convert all the Properties to Posts, then I switched themes, and converted all the Posts (actually not all posts, but had all property posts under one particular user....) to the AgentPress listings.... This is the simplified step by step; There were numerous other things to do..... Hope this helps anyone in a similar situation or I would be happy to help!
