    Hi, I'm using the AgentPress Pro theme for this site: http://gbrss.org/ It's a site for a school, not a realty and I'm using the Disclaimer Widget as the place for social media icons/links. Is there a way to have this widget appear before the footer, instead of after? (I thought it might involve changes in the functions.php file and tried adding a remove/add action but it didn't make a difference and am not sure I have the exact terminology for positioning before the footer?)

    Hi Helen,

    Yes, there is and it's easy to do. Go to your functions.php file, look around line 126 for this section:

    //* Add Discliamer to Footer
    add_action( 'genesis_footer', 'agentpress_disclaimer' );

    Add a comma and the number 8 to that first add_action line and save the changes. So it looks like this:

    //* Add Discliamer to Footer
    add_action( 'genesis_footer', 'agentpress_disclaimer', 8 );

    What you're doing is giving the disclaimer a higher priority than the footer so it will show first. Currently both default to 10.

    PS
    PLEASE USE CAUTION when editing your functions file as a typo or the wrong character can cause your site not to load. Make sure you have FTP or file browser access through your host if you have any error messages.

    Hi Ginger, Thanks, it worked and your instructions were so specific. I appreciate knowing also what the meaning of the changes are. Helen
