Thanks Brad. I finally found the culprit.
happymMemberThank you. I am all sorted now.
happymMemberSorry Freya, where would I put this in the CSS?
It is a bit odd. I am pretty sure I have made no CSS changes to date that would have anything to do with tablet and mobile view (both are not rendering correctly).
Thanks.
happymMemberReally appreciate you trying to help, while effectively working blind without a site to view. This didn't work either. I guess it is best to leave it until the site is up and live.
Many thanks
happymMemberThank you Christoph. I tried increasing by various numbers, but it didn't really work and also made the actual header move down the page on scrolling - continually moving over the body text as you scrolled down.
Perhaps I could use the admin bar in the theme to place the text and tel. number in? Is it possible to make that fixed on scroll like the header and to remove the hyperlink action from any text placed there?
As you can tell I am a non coder, but gradually learning.
Thanks.
happymMemberThank You!
happymMemberThanks Marcy, seems to have done the trick and displaying well on a test post.
I guess I now need to change all instances of 'portfolio' to news in the functions file and also the CSS? Is this correct?
happymMemberThank you for your continued assistance. I'm feeling a bit dumb! What do I need to fix or add into the CSS? Do I need to add a code snippet for the secondary sidebar and if so what? Or am I fixing the width of something else?
Until today, I have found the Genesis/Studiopress remarkably easy for a complete novice to use. This one is probably easy too, but I need leading by the hand, I am afraid.
The site is still a work in progress locally on my computer.
happymMemberThank you for replying so quickly. The secondary sidebar is appearing full width underneath the page content instead of on the right hand side of the page.
Any ideas? I very much appreciate any help.
Thanks. -
