Agency Pro might me what you are looking for in terms of design.
To add transparency, add the following in the selector that determines the background color of your widget areas

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantWell it's working now, what did you change? All you need to do now is modify the header to be responsive.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantCan't tell you what is wrong with it, but for php coding questions I usually go to Stackoverflow.com for answers.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantYes it's possible with images - http://www.css3.info/preview/border-image/

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantI can see one large pink button in all browsers which says "Follow me on Dribble". You have not added the code for any other buttons which is probably why they are not showing. The CSS is there but not the button link in the html.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantNot sure I understand what you want them to look like. The header .widget (line 2265) has a large margin-top of 2.5rem which pushes it down below the header. You can remove that, but as I don't know what you are trying to achieve it's difficult to give you more info.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantThe example code you are posting is more for the functions file. If you are adding to Simple Hooks you can write your code using HTML and PHP and just place it in the hook where you want your code to appear.
e.g. example for placing code in the footer hook (without PHP)<div class="footer-wrap"> <div class="footer-top"> <a href=""><img src="http://mysite/logo-footer.jpg" /></a> <ul> <li><a href="">Home</a></li> <li><a href="">Blog</a></li> <li><a href="">Register</a></li> <li><a href="">About</a></li> <li><a href="">Table of Contents</a></li> <li class="last"><a href="">Contact</a></li> </ul> </div> <div class="footer-bottom"> <a href="">My Site Name Here</a> <ul id="footer-social-buttons"> <li><a href="https://www.facebook.com/" class="first"></a></li> <li><a href="" class="second"></a></li> <li><a href="" class="third"></a></li> </ul> </div> </div>

Lynne emasai.comNovember 1, 2013 at 1:43 pm in reply to: Prose: 2-column effect with left column responsively appearing above right #70350emasaiParticipantYour request is very confusing - Stuff Here etc.
I kind of understood the effect you want from your example and the only thing I can tell you is to look at the layout. The Staff portion (left-col) is announced first and floated left with a width, when the media queries kick in the width becomes 100% still floated left. The right-col is floated right with a width, when the media queries kick in the float becomes none and the width 100%.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantThe media queries are still in the style sheet so I can only think you might have removed the viewport meta tag from the functions file.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantI do not have the theme itself, but I think you would have to change the position of the site tagline in the functions file to the correct hook so that it will show after the posts.

height: 168px;
}
.enews-widget .widget-title {
color: grey;The enews widget color is set t white and will become invisible if you dont change it to another color.

Lynne emasai.comOctober 30, 2013 at 8:51 pm in reply to: How to change width of Prose content area WHILE maintaining responsiveness? #70040emasaiParticipantCustomizing a responsive site is not an easy fix as there are a lot of parameters involved. I can only point you to a tutorial on responsive design http://vandelaydesign.com/blog/web-development/turn-any-site-into-a-responsive-site/ which might give you a better understanding of how it works and help you figure out what you need to do.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipant.home-middle is 940px wide
You have 5 images of 175px but there are margins of 2px left and right on .home-middle .alignleft and padding of 5px left and right on .home-middle img
Add all that up and you get 945px width, so there is not enough room for 5 images. Modify your image width according to the math and they will fit.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantIf it's broken out of the box you should open a support ticket. This is a volunteer forum and there is not much anyone here can do to help. If you added any content, it could be a case of an unclosed tag.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantWhatever you modified it was not top center as I cannot see it in a web inspector and the image is still off center. You did however reduce the header height to 40px which is why your image is smaller.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantAdd this to
.site-header {
background: url(http://test.alliechynna.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/cropped-header4.png) no-repeat top center;}This is not the right way to do things. You do not need a big image with a white background in the .site-header, that area is for adding images that are for decoration. What you do need is to add your logo to make it clickable in the title area.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantYou will need to add padding into the media queries at the different widths you want them to kick in. For the moment padding is only added here
@media only screen and (max-width: 768px)
#about .wrap, #blog .wrap, #portfolio .wrap, #services .wrap {
padding: 0 5%;
