I would like to increase the width of the primary content area so that it will accommodate larger images (at least 640 pixels wide). I'm using the Prose theme and the site is http://www.everintransit.com.

I was able to change the CSS to increase the width of the primary content area to 640px using .sidebar-content #content and then I decreased the width of .sidebar by an equal amount, but after I made the changes the site was no longer responsive. Is there some other location I I need to modify to maintain responsiveness?

If there is no easy fix, can you recommend any other Genesis theme that has wider content area? Most of the ones I've looked at have seemed equally narrow (Prose is 590px by default)

    Thank you!

Customizing a responsive site is not an easy fix as there are a lot of parameters involved. I can only point you to a tutorial on responsive design http://vandelaydesign.com/blog/web-development/turn-any-site-into-a-responsive-site/ which might give you a better understanding of how it works and help you figure out what you need to do.
