Thank you Victor. I'm switching back to the Beaver Builder theme. The navigation shows up with that theme. I've checked everything including the code and can't find any reason why it won't show up in magazine pro. I've submitted support tickets to Design Palette Pro (several days ago) and to studio press with no reply. This is an active site and I need the navigation.

I switched the theme back to prose which I can customize easily -- even though it supposedly has other problems. This is a good lesson in why not to buy any theme or plugin that is not supported by studiopress. This is apparently a third party plugin (which wasn't clear when I purchased it). I've contacted the developer about the activation issue and am still waiting for a reply. I must admit that I'm about ready to find a theme that is not studiopress but has the colors I need already built in.
Thank you for your answer Julia. I can change the header but is there a gallery plugin or any other way to create the category pages without using tables. I don't like the way my shopping cart produces category pages which is why I create them myself and then link to the product pages which use shortcodes from my shopping cart?
Okay, I did the same thing. I can download my functions.php file via my cpanel. How in the world do I open it in order to delete the code that I added based on your instructions?
