MemberOkay, that was a big help. It looks like the endwhile-loop and the after-loop hooks let me add content at the bottom of #content. But what's the difference between these two?

MemberI try not to depend on lots of plugins, but even the plugins didn't seem to help.
If you want full-width excerpts, you can adjust the width of the columns in your CSS. Just search for this div and change the percentage to 100%:
`.genesis-grid-even, .genesis-grid-odd {
width: 100%;
}`Cheerios!

MemberI wanted to follow up with something I just learned about tags.
They do have some value. You don't have to display them, but if you add tags to your posts, the popular TweetMeme Button plugin will grab them and create automatic hashtags for you. That's a nice time-saving feature.

MemberHi John,
I was searching for something and came across your thread.
On my iPad, only the left side of your website loads in landscape mode. It's responsive and displays just fine in portrait mode.
I would contact StudioPress support and see if they can help. They may have to refer you to a third-party developer/designer to help figure out what's going on.
You have a great looking website, but I did note that it has a very slow load rate. But this problem is most likely independent of that.
Hopefully you'll find a solution soon.
Cheers!

MemberHa, you just posted at the same time I did. 🙂
Thanks!

MemberI added a reason in the comment itself.
But I'm seeing multiple lines of the same edit-notification text with the same time stamp down to the seconds. I've noticed this on some others as well.

MemberI'm using the most recent version of Safari. In Safari I'm seeing square edges.
In Firefox and Chrome things are nice and round.
EDITED TO ADD
From what I'm reading, this is a known browser issue. The solution is to wrap a div around the image. I already read that, but couldn't figure out why it seemed to be working for others just fine. But now it appears to be the browser. I'll post back once I've tested it with the div.

MemberThank you, Anitac. I do appreciate your time with this.
Adding border-radius makes the avatar round, but because of the padding the actual image retains square sides within the rounded shell.
I'm trying to get the avatar image and the shell (for lack of a better term) nice and round, so that it looks like a circle within a circle with some white padding.

MemberOn the first post of the eleven40 demo, there are six comments. Since my comments section is identical to the demo, you can easily see what's going on by clicking here:

It looks like I need to wrap the avatar image in a div. Someone told me elsewhere that padding is treated as part of the element. If I want padding and a border, I can't just do what you did and insert border-radius on the avatar.
On the demo, if you remove the padding and border, and then insert border-radius, you get a nice round avatar. But add back in the padding and border, and the sides get squared.

MemberNothing is working. I'm using a functions code snippet to address the avatar size. I applied a border-radius to .avatar in my CSS. That makes the avatar round. But add a border, and the avatar sides become square. I applied the radius to just img.avatar, which works too. But I can't include a border without getting sharp edges around the image.
I've looked high and low and can't figure out what's causing this. Lots of people seem to be able to do this by adding a border and border-radius to .avatar with no problems.
Curious. Any suggestions?

MemberI just took another look at the WooThemes round avatars. They use an avatar wrap with some additional CSS. Let's see if I can make it work.
Do any of the StudioPress themes use round avatars?
Thanks!
Carla the Moose
MemberThanks, anitac. I tried that, but it didn't work.
What displays is round, but you can see the square sides of the avatar inside the round border.
So what I've managed to do was round the border, but it looks like the image needs to be rounded, too. I wonder if image size has something to do with this. Maybe the image doesn't need to be rounded, but with some sizing constraints you can make it appear to be round?
I'll post back here if I figure it out.

MemberOkay, progress, folks! 🙂
If you're using WooCommerce and see that HUGE pink/purple box, it's coming from the Woo plugin, not the Genesis Connect plugin. These are two different plugins that work together. Andrea in support hung in there with me and helped me figure this out.
That box has a theme integration button. The text says to click it if you're experiencing layout problems. Susan, when you clicked that button, you fixed the archives page problem. The concern I have, though, is that the blank archives page seems to be a problem with the Genesis Connect plugin, not the WooCommerce once.
That's all, then. I just wanted to update this thread. I see too many threads that get abandoned without any followup.
Cheers!

MemberActually, I see that same pink/purple box. I would be very concerned about a plugin like this that affects non-commerce pages. This is very concerning. So I decided to delete it, but even after refreshing my browser and clearing the cache, that big box still shows up on my dashboard and plugins page. It leaves behind some files, apparently. You can click the HIDE button, but I shouldn't have to do that for a plugin I deleted.
I've read some great reviews of the Genesis Connect for Woo Commerce plugin and am hopeful they'll get this fixed.
Carla the Moose
MemberSupport told me there are some bugs with the recent plugin update. They are working on fixing this.
But how curious that Woo Commerce would interfere with non-commerce pages. That's very concerning. I'll share this with support.
🙂
Carla the Moose
MemberI activated the plugin. But are you saying there was something else I needed to do? My archives are independent of Woo Commerce.
Thanks for chiming in, though, Susan!

MemberIn case anyone sees this thread, I wanted to follow up. I ended up contacting support.
They took a look at my website and told me to deactivate my plugins and see if one of them might be causing the problem. Right away I discovered that by deactivating the Genesis Woo Commerce plugin, the problem was immediately fixed.
This is concerning, since I need that plugin. They aren't able to help me figure out why that plugin caused this problem.
Cheers.

MemberOh, I get it now. :o)
So people like graphic designers use vector images so they can easily resize them. But then they have to save those images as .jpg files.
Great suggestion about finding my theme's image sizes.
Thanks!
Carla the Moose
MemberSo an uninstall and reinstall didn't work?
I'm new to this plugin and love it. But hopefully I won't experience this problem.
Carla the Moose
MemberI sent a support ticket for some guidance.
I can easily set the column width of the grid to 100%, and then float both to the left. This gives me the look I'm wanting. But I'd like to know if there's a better/cleaner option.
I'll post back here when I hear from them.
