Thanks for the article Victor! I have seen the shortcode pollution issue, which is my biggest concern.

Unfortunately I already have 275 pages and posts of polluted Divi content that I'm going to have to deal with from the two other companies ... so I don't know the path of least resistance. Would I willingly jump to Divi at this point? No. But I also want the easiest, most scalable long-term platform for a growing B2B organization that is going through multiple mergers.

I get the sense that Divi is for newbies and not professional developers, but I wonder if that's an accurate assessment? Are there large B2B professional websites out there running Divi? I have tried a few drag-and-drop themes before and hated every moment of it, as I've been handcoding for 20 years and that's all I know.

Also, it's not going to be me maintaining this website in the future either, not sure if Divi vs. Genesis is easier for new content managers, etc. to jump into and maintain.

Now that's embarrassing - I forgot to go back to the demo... and the pagination arrows must not have showed up unless you have 2+ posts, which I did not prior to going live. Because my header area is so large I could not see that it was paging through the posts, so I had no clue why they were there.

Thanks frobn for the CSS - I am going to get rid of the pagination arrows. Thanks!

    Hi Brock,

Sorry I never saw your reply until now - just the spammy one above it.

The Extra Footer Widget does show up in the Widget Dashboard but nothing I drop in there is showing up.... I will try playing with it a little more. Thank you for helping to get me started!

Mocha is not the same as Mocha Pro. In 2012 forward, Studiopress has been updating themes with mobile responsive versions, named the same but with "Pro" concatenated at the end. You would need to upgrade Mocha to Mocha Pro, this is probably the same issue across all of your sites that are Genesis-based, at least.

    Tracy,

Like the others who have asked, you need to upgrade your theme to the mobile-responsive version of Focus. In 2012, that theme was not mobile-responsive. The new HTML5/mobile responsive versions all have "Pro" concatenated at the end. Thus, you need to upgrade to Focus Pro ๐Ÿ™‚

I just tested several links on one of my client's Lifestyle Pro theme on Google's mobile friendly tool and mine are all good: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/?url=www.celebrityskinscottsdale.com

walidmrealtor - The page you posted is fine on the Google tool also? https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.walidmrealtor.com%2Fcharlotte-new-homes-for-sale%2F

Moneydiva.com - Summer is right, this is the old non responsive version of the Lifestyle theme. It needs to be upgraded to Lifestyle Pro to be fully responsive.

    Carrie,

I am able to login via FTP and everything was there. I actually replicated the blog, deactivated all plugins and changed to default theme - but when I went back in, I couldn't see the theme because it was broken.

After some troubleshooting and Googling, I figured out that I had changed some of the comments in the stylesheet that broke the theme somehow. I updated my stylesheet with the original Executive theme comments and everything started working again. Yahoo!

    Thanks!

Sorry for bringing this thread live again!

I am having the exact same issue as Jeni and was able to resolve it by following SoZo's advice. When I edit the width of the #title-area a element, it pushes the nav/header down as expected. However, when I attempt to nudge the #header .widget-area up using a negative margin it works great on a browser but the mobile/iPad version ends up displaying the navigation bar over the logo.

Maybe there is another way to accomplish this that I haven't thought about?

I REALLY want the logo clickable, but I really don't want to serve up or maintain separate stylesheets. I wouldn't even know where to start with that nor is it an area that I even want to explore in WP. Just brings me back to IE nightmares!

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!!
