MemberWhen I view our Lifestyle Pro based site it looks great on smartphones and tablets, but it's failing the Google mobile friendly test. It says our images are wider than the screen (they look fine on all screens) and it says our links are too close together.
Any ideas?

ModeratorWithout being able to see your site, nobody can really provide much assistance. I just loaded the Lifestyle Pro theme on my test site, set up like the demo, and it passed the test.

MemberYeah, I'm confussed too; especially since I got this in an email:
"Because every single one of our StudioPress Pro themes is mobile-responsive. Thus, whichever theme you choose will have your site prepared for Google’s mobile-friendly update."
I've got the same issue with my Lifestyle 2.0.2 (this is a Pro theme, right?) installed and up-to-date but the Google mobile test says:
Page appears not mobile-friendly
Text too small to read
Links too close together
Mobile viewport not setShould Fix:
Use legible font sizes
Show how to fix (gives lots of examples of small mobile font sizes from elements with 14 and 16 point fonts controlled by the theme's CSS)
Size tap targets appropriately
Show how to fix (has lots of examples, starting with the top menu links, also controlled by the theme's CSS)
Configure the viewport
Your page does not have a viewport specified. This causes mobile devices to render your page as it would appear on a desktop browser, scaling it down to fit on a mobile screen. Configure a viewport to allow your page to render properly on all devices.Feel free to take a look and offer any suggestions: MoneyDiva.com
Just seems like a lot of work on my end having already paid for and properly installed a mobile-responsive theme...
PS I think it looks good on both tablets and phones tho I don't expect full-sized text when I browse using smaller devices!

MemberI've set up two sites with Lifestyle Pro, and they both passed Google's mobile friendly test (you also have to remember that that test only checks out the responsiveness of that one page, not every page in your site... you have to dig into your Google Analytics to get the report on the entire site). And yes, it is possible to have a homepage pass the test will an inner page or two doesn't get a 100% rating.
Lifestyle 2.0.2 is NOT the same theme as Lifestyle Pro. You'd have to login to your SP account and download the Pro theme. Check out the current demo for Lifestyle Pro... you'll see that the font is larger & easier to read (and scale), and the menu is spaced wider so fat fingers on tiny phones can tap on them without too much end-user distress 🙂

MemberMy site is also failing the Google Test. The Algorithmic update will be active April 21st, 2015.
Home page is fine, some inner pages fail for:
Content wider than screen
Links too close togetherExample page: http://www.walidmrealtor.com/charlotte-new-homes-for-sale/
The images look like they're properly sized so I'm stuck here...
The links are OK for the home page (which passes) but fails on this page.
Any ideas?

ParticipantI just tested several links on one of my client's Lifestyle Pro theme on Google's mobile friendly tool and mine are all good: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/?url=www.celebrityskinscottsdale.com
walidmrealtor - The page you posted is fine on the Google tool also? https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.walidmrealtor.com%2Fcharlotte-new-homes-for-sale%2F
Moneydiva.com - Summer is right, this is the old non responsive version of the Lifestyle theme. It needs to be upgraded to Lifestyle Pro to be fully responsive.

MemberSo, that answers my question!
Hope the update to pro doesn't screw up all the customizations!
Thx, Lee -
