MemberGood Afternoon!
I am hopeful that someone here will be willing to help me with a project I am working on.
I have searched the web over and I can't find any help files on setting up a grid layout on the "Shop" page and a list layout on the "product category page".
I know that there is a plug in that will toggle this option but I want to display the grid on the shop (like an image menu of available categories"
then once the customer clicks on one of the category photos they will go to a list view of all products in that category.
Is there a way to do this without breaking my bank?
Thanks a bunch in advance and I wish everyone a Merry Christmas or a Happy Holiday depending on how you celebrate. 🙂

ModeratorWooCommerce has its own loop and template structure. The WooCommerce templates provide the functionality of the shop page and single product pages. These templates can be customized to do what you want, but it will take some effort. It could get expensive. If you want to look at a highly customized WooCommerce site built on the Genesis Framework, visit http://dev1.houseplanworks.com/. It's still a work in progress in terms of mobile access, but it works fine on a desktop.

MemberThank you so much Victor!
I appreciate you taking the time to give me some feedback. While that house plan theme looks amazing I don't want to go through all the work of swapping out themes just yet. 🙂
I was hoping I would be able to plop some php code into a file and call it a day but I should have figured that it wouldn't be that easy lol
Anywhooooo - thanks again for your help and your kindness. I wish you a Merry Christmas or a Happy Holiday depending on how you celebrate.

ModeratorOla, I am the developer. It's a complete custom site I am building for an architect in North Carolina. It's very Ajax heavy because of the search. It's not quite complete yet. He has plans of selling a version of it or maybe even offering it as a software as a service product. It won't be ready as product until next year. He wants to go live with it for at least a few months before we start marketing it.

Victor
