    Hey guys,

    Trying to set a different page as my homepage on the academy pro theme. I have the setting correct in wordpress but when I switch it it says the welcome page is the front page and home page, but it is still showing the regular main page. In other words, it shows the same home page no matter what.

    This is the home page: https://www.newcovenantcog.com/

    I want the home to show https://www.newcovenantcog.com/welcome

    But when I switch it it still shows as above...

    Am I missing something or doing something wrong? Don't remember having this issue. ANy help is appreciated.

    A widgetized front page takes priority over static pages. Rename front-page.php in the child theme directory so it doesn't execute.

    Rename it to what Victor?

    Change the filename to something else and name the landing page front-page.php

    You have to access the site through FTP or your cPanel's file manager. Navigate to the WordPress /wp-content/themes directory. Navigate to your child theme directory and renamce the file.
