Hello, my website blog is located here:

    http://www.docair.com/blog/

I have the site set up under settings --> reading to have a static home page and have my posts appear in the blog page. However I would like to have a sidebar widget as well on the blog page but this won't show up unless I change the reading settings.

Is there any way to allow widgets on my blog page?

    Thanks!
    Liam

You don't need to setup a blog page under reading with Genesis. Create a page, assign the blog template to it and display it on the menu. You can have the sidebar or not. It's your choice.

Follow the instructions I just gave you above. Assigning the blog template to a page will auto-populate the page with your posts.
