    I can't seem to figure out a way to get the dropdown indicator to stay showing... when you're on the website on a mobile device there is no way of knowing there's a submenu because the indicator doesn't show at all unless you somehow know to click in the corner. It only shows when hovering which you can't do on a phone.

    I was able to get the indicator to show but then the link for the dropdown menu stills shops up next to it so the indicator doesn't work.

    How do I fix this?

    Genesis has a filter where you can set your own Superfish argument js file. I haven't test this, but you should be able to add something like this to functions.php:

    add_filter( 'genesis_superfish_args_url', 'superfish_args_url' )
    function superfish_args_url() {
         return get_bloginfo( 'stylesheet_directory' ) . "/js/superfish.args.js" ), array( 'superfish' );
    }

    You would create a file called superfish.args.js in the child theme's js directory. You could copy the superfish.args.js file from the genesis/lib/js/menu/ directory as your starting point. As for the actual arguments, you'll have to Google superfish arguments.
