I have added a background color and changed the link behavior to my nav menu and I need to know how to alter the css so it maintains these changes in mobile.

The background color holds up but the Menu icon and text vanish (same color as background).

I need the active links in the mobile menu to remain white.

Also, any ideas on how to remove the text MENU to the right of the hamburger menu?

    Thanks

Update - I managed to remove the mobile MENU text.

However the mobile menu link styling problem remains.

Mobile menu styling is handled by the media query CSS. Search through your style.css for @media to find the media query CSS.

A better way is to use the built-in mobile design tool in your browser's inspection/development tools. Then you can pinpoint the CSS responsible for the mobile design.
